Bloody hell, PaF, you ARE doing brilliantly: the only thing is, you are expecting yourself to be superhuman and do everything perfectly, which isn't always possible as we are human and can't do things perfectly all the time. I think you do better than than the vast majority of people who have no mobility problems making them have to worry about getting out in the snow. Cut yourself a bit of slack!
Now, stop being so hard on yourself and go and do what you need to guilt-free and happily. I shall be watching! Please call me 'Pickle'

I'm looking forward to hearing what you think of Flip It as I may treat myself to that.
Keep going, you're trying really hard and no one can ask more.0 -

Sorry Pickle, I know I am my worst critic. However, I do feel so very responsible to myself, my dd, even my dh memory to keep pushing myself and do as well as I can while I can. I feel very much that it is only me who can do it, there is no dh anymore bless him, I am on my own without wanting to sound "poor me" about it. If I dont do it, it doesn't get done. My dd relies on me to provide a happy and secure home etc. The reality is my disability puts me at a disadvantage and I need to work harder to keep up in every area of my life. Thats just the way it is. I feel so much more positive and uplifted and determined when I am out there working and I so want to do well and there are times I feel so good about achieving my dreams, I will never give up. I will become financially viable again and be in a position where I can choose which banks I do business with! I want absolute complete peace of mind. All that said, I do take your point!
Recd a letter today from Sainsburys. I have a debt with them that I am slowly paying off, detroyed my card before Xmas. Their letter is a standard one saying they will increase my interest rate unless I close the account with them, and if I do that then the lower rate they are charging me now will stay put. So, I will make that call to get it arranged. This is the third similar letter Ive recd, Ive had the same from Egg and Natwest, and thinking about it they seem to have all arrived shortly after I am no longer using the cards and the debt is getting less!! Oh well, Im not fussed. My mission is to keep the debt as a reducing sum, so its good that I can keep it at the rate it is now.My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)
May 2013 £124,080.27= £37,903.50 paid off WOW!!!!! Well done! There is a guardian angel out there! :AI'm visualising success, debt freeness, and happy days!:T0 -
It a good thing closing the cards as the last thing you want is the debt going up anyway and anything is worth keeping the apr's as low as possible.

No bids when I looked a couple of days ago.Am so busy, will be able to check on situation at weekend. They are on for 10 days.
So, sold £1760 this week alone, £2700 overall for the 4 weeks since Xmas day although of course those figures really represent under 2 weeks of work, so therefore am confident I can sell in excess of £5000 over the next 4 weeks. My theory is if I can earn more than I need just on my retail, then the bonuses my team achieve is a bonus, and as my team grows my financial situation will get more secure as all our respective turnovers increase. Just need to incorporate time to make those all important phone calls to people who have expressed an interest in earning extra money. Thats my challenge, always has been in truth. I need to maintain the retail to pay the bills, and then find the time - when Im not prioritising dd or feeling tired or falling asleep! - to do the calls. Am behind with those, but am just about to do a few before going out to put out more books, and am thinking I could catch up tomorrow afternoon while dd plays. Just an hour or two is all I need to be upstraight.
So, hanging in there, bank balance looks v healthy at mo, however a large chunck of it is for the tax man. Keeping my head down, and just working to ensure the business grows!
Realising that my thoughts are either consumed by dd and also dh memories, money and bills, work and time management, not falling over and getting enough sleep! Not sure if thats healthy but there you go!!My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

Hi Positive and Focused - you certainly live up to your name! (as I try to live up to mine!)
I have read most of your diary and just wanted to say what an inspiration you are - even forgetting the traumatic events you have had to cope with - even if you don't take any of that into account - you are still truly amazing.
Your energy and enthusiasm for making your business work and achieving your goals is nothing short of inspirational - I'm not surprised you are falling asleep in your chair most nights - most people would not be able to do what you do, who do not have any disability to hamper them.
I am sure that your DH is up there somewhere looking down on you and he will be so proud of how you are managing and how you are bringing up your DD - please don't be so hard on yourself - you are amazing :T
With regard to your business - I have just started a similar direct selling venture and I can only hope to achieve the fantastic sales that you are getting week after week - When I joined 3 months ago, I viewed it as nothing more than a little hobby that might enable me to pay a little more off my debts from time to time, but you have inspired me to put more hours in and really go for it - If you have any tips you can pass on, I would be more than grateful

Hi Miss Optimistic, well I wouldn't be me if I didn't say to you all the very best but if it turns out not to be the venture for you , think of joining me!!!
Hints and tips I would offer you are you need to be determined, persistent, have a plan and work it to the best of your ability, do not knock yourself if you can't get something done for whatever reason. Its your business and therefore you are in charge of what you do and when and how you do things. My mum was in party plan as I grew up, and the motto in our house was, "plan your work, and work your plan!!"
You need to be self disciplined as well. and set goals. Most of all enjoy it.
