My first visit to this website for over a week. I am so touched by your Xmas wishes when I have been so selfish and not said the same to you! I hope you have and are - enjoying the festive season that is!. Dd and I have been really relaxing, watched loads of films, enjoyed being at home and sleeping in. Just enjoyed "being", no rushing, no stress, just complete rest!
Well, prior to Xmas, the weather here was just ice, ice and more ice, made getting around a real challenge. Had loads of deliveries outstanding because of it and what was to take a three or so hours took an entire day and eve, not least because getting from the car to a customers front door was v v difficult, not even my walking stick was helpful because that was slippery too. A lot of ice on the side roads. My dd helped where she could, doing some for me - where I could see her of course -, other customers came to my car!!! The rest we did, Just have 5 deliveries outstanding which I will do next week, and they are outstanding cos the customers were away. So, job done!
Received in excess of £75 in tips from customers, so so kind and generous. Its all gone in my sealed pot for next Xmas! Dd received so many presents from customers, those we saved to open on Boxing Day, suffice to say she has enough sweets to last her through January in her packed lunch box!! So so kind, really touched, and once again I was sitting here thanking on high for being in this business and being so blessed to meet and know such lovely people in the course of my work and being able to be of service to them.
Since then, have had a complete break from the computer, tel and everything, went back to my emails a couple of days ago to find over 60 to read!! We are putting out books this am, and then I am making a trifle for tonites New Years eve party at a friends house, and my infamous sausage rolls!. DD's birthday is on Sat, and we have 18 people coming round!!. My family, and a couple of close friends and their children who happen to my my dd's best friends! There will be 8 children, 10 adults. That has really become her Birthday pressie from me as the food has cost some, but still less than doing something organised elsewhere. DD loved her Xmas pressie from me, thank goodness, and in the end I treated her to an outfit to wear on Xmas day which she loves. Overall, Xmas was really much more cost effective than previous ones and far more enjoyable, my hampers went down a treat, everyone loved them, Im back in the kitchen over the next couple of days baking for dds birthday party. Mums baking a birthday cake, Im going to make some fairy cakes, choc chip cookies, sausage rolls, little cheese pies, some mince pies, a trifle. The salad, coleslaw, there will be ham, crisps, baby choc eclairs, it will be quite a spread, and organised chaos, which we are both looking forward to! We don't often have all the family together, and all at my house, we are just a little home so it should be fun squeezing everyone in, part of the fun!!Can't believe dd will be 7!
Other news just quickly, finalising my business plan for 2010, already updated my folder to take stock of my debt for this year, feel v confident about 2010, knowing my mortgage is set to reduce in Sept, and I now have loads to sell on ebay and at auction, gives me a boost. Am holding my own, and will continue to do so. We will be ok, and am so looking forward to 2010, and chipping away at the debt more and more and of course building my business too!
Happy New year to anyone reading, must have brekkie, then get on with the books so we are back by lunch! My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

Whats happening to the weather?!! Have adjusted my work plan already and its only the 5th of Jan. Its ice, frost and ice here, and takes a long time to do anything hence my need to adjust my plan. My priority is do not fall over! Nevertheless, the persistence has paid off, collected my catalogues yesterday I put out with dd last week, and have collected £670 in orders so far with a further 36 catalogues to collect from that drop later in the week. Am hopeful that my target of £750 from that drop will be exceeded. So, really chuffed! Plan today, just about to face the weather and put out my books again. Meeting a friend for lunch, and then while dd at after school club, Im back here doing phone calls to prospects. Will collect dd at 6, back home and will sort out supper, and dd to bed, then ironing. Joy of joys.!!
So, other news v quickly. Dd had a lovely birthday, last people left after 9pm re her party so I guess everyone enjoyed it too. It was worth all the effort. Shes back at school now, and we have so much to look forward to this year. Have recd two of the three books I ordered from the Amazon sale, Delias Xmas, and Duncan Bannantynes biography. The third book - Flip it - is due soon! Those three cost £19 so I do not feel too guilty investing in them. All three will help me fine tune my business, my approach to all areas oflife, and of course next Xmas! Have made a start on the biography. He was miles in debt, and is now worth £168million. What an inspiration! Otherwise , apart from lunch today, am not spending anything. Wont need food shopping for an age, apart from milk and bread, so really looking forward to fine tuning my budget and getting ahead of myself. Thats it, off to embrace the frost and ice in my quest to earn my money and build my business!...My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

No surprise I know, however it is still snowing here, heavily, started last night. Not sure what to do about getting dd to school if indeed the school will be open. I hurt my little toe on my disabled foot at the weekend. Have been covering it in cotton wool before putting on my socks and then my boots so I can function, nevertheless my limp is even worse than usual, and the thought of going out in this weather is not appealing. I do not have to collect any catalogues today, the original plan was to do the gym, then home for paperwork and phone calls, collect dd from school, and then take the xmas decs down together as it is the 12th day of Xmas today! Even if it wasn't snowing, I would be crossing off the gym cos of my toe, I have v little feeling in my toes and I sometimes walk with them bent double w/o realising it, and then they are painful, I think that is what happened for it to be this way, I need a day where its not in any shoes! Anyway, finances are ok so do not need to get to the bank. Kl dels are up the shoot because of the weather, everyone has recd emails to say they are working on a min staff as staff can not get in so re my deliveries it may not be a case of me not being able to do them, it may just be I wont have anything to deliver for a few days. Anyway, better go and check the school website and make a cuppa. Thankfully I purchased 2 x 4 pints of milk yesterday, and we have plenty of food, so just need to go with the flow... At least it will be a NSD!!!My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

Sorry to hear about your foot. If you need some time without your feet being in shoes perhaps today could be the day at home? Do you have any Totes slipper socks or anything like that? They would give your feet space, but also provide warmth and grip. xPlease call me 'Pickle'
