All heading in the right direction then, PAF! As you say, you would have liked more, but who wouldn't! And £450 net is a pretty good amount to have in your pocket.

Hi PaF! Glad to see that things are going well. May I ask if that is mince meat as in the stuff you put in mince pies or mince meat as in the stuff made from, well, meat? If it's the former, could you please post me the recipie or a link as I would LOVE to make some of that. :)

    Thanks! :T

So, the start of a new week and the negatives are: (get them out the way first)
    1. Will be charged £35 because I forgot about a cheque Id given my mum, and she banked it yesterday. I was gloriously unaware yesterday thinking I had covered everything. I wish I was less scatty but there you go. I had it written dow and everything in my spending book, but it went over my head that I had to still account for it.
    2. Am feeling quite tired today and already been busy this am, but still alot to do. Yesterdays weather didn't help. Rain, I can cope with, wind I can cope with, cold I can cope with but altogether it just gets too much at times!!!! Last eve fell asleep in the chair till 3am and woke up to the delights of Jeremy Kyle on the telly!! Need an early night tonite.

    Positives (loads of these)
    1. Sold dds bed for £20 without mattress. Its being collected this eve.
    2. Mum is buying new bed for dd for her xmas and bday pressie, and have managed to get another £10 off it as a friends dd works for tesco and can get a staff discount.
    3. Sorted out a load of toys and clothes of dds at the weekend to sell on ebay, some next weekend when I have the time, the summer clothes nearer spring next year.
    4. Xmas decs are up.
    5. Have collected £520 in sales so far from yesterdays pick up so working in the weather was definately worth it. In 10 days my total sales are now £1870. Picking up more books today and just about to put out another 150 or so.
    6. Very generously have received in the region of £15 Xmas tips from customers so far, plus two boxes of choccies plus a couple of pressies for dd. Put the money in my sealed pot for the Xmas challenge Ive recently joined.

Thats it, Off I go on my travels to make my fortune!...

  • Well, my personal sales are now pushing the £2K landmark after more orders collected yesterday, and so I am confident I will exceed £2.5K by the end of this second week. maybe even the £3K mark. Time will tell. So, its all very busy here at the mo. Not bad when you think I am just yours truly and it's the middle of a recession!

Dd's nativity play this eve, mum is going with a friend as dad will be working as will I delivering aload of orders!. Im going to the afternoon performance on friday. So dd will have friendly faces at both!

Two large billls going out tom, just enough to cover them, then I can start to raise the money I need to cover the bills going out over the Xmas season. I need to find out when my bonus will be paid in light of all the impending bank holidays over Xmas.

Have loads to put on ebay now, however time in the week is just so tight so I am resigned to the fact that it will need to be done at the weekends, so this weekend will see me get started on there again. Off to get things on the go today, another busy day awaits!...

  • Amazingly I have not been notified of a charge - yet - by the Halifax for my error a couple of days ago. And it would now just be £5 if they do as their new charging structure came into force from the 6th Dec. So, it is a much better situation than first thought.

Did a load of deliveries yesterday, and came home with a £5 Xmas gift, a present for dd to put under the tree, a large tin of Quality Street, and a no of Xmas cards. I was quite choked actually by it all, driving round I was just thinking to myself how lovely people are and just how lucky was I to be doing what I do.

So, feeling ok with everything. Have started to see a counsellor lady via dds school, the aim being to retain the calmness that exists here in our home more so since our trip with the NVA to Newcastle, and she is someone who I can go to when the down moments are there. She has suggested a trip to CAB in the New Year re the debt just to establish my options. . I suppose theres no harm in doing that, but I just feel I am holding my own - just - but everything is getting paid, the debt is reducing, the sales are excellent at the mo, new team members are waiting to join my team, ebay is now going to feature in raising extra funds to pay off debt quicker, Ive got our budget down to where it needs to be. Things like from the beg of the year to now, my tel bills have reduced by £45 a month and given I do a lot of calls I am really pleased with that. Things like that are all positive, and I just think if I can keep my nerve, my determination, I will not fail.

Of course, the other thing is that all my life Ive been told I wont be able to do this or that, and gone on to do it, things like the London to Brighton bike ride albeit on a trike and albeit taking me the whole day! Doing cashiering in the bank was another, I did it, went on to be the No 1 cashier in fact, being able to walk, ok it was difficult as a child, but the docs thought I would be a vegetable and told my mum and dad not to bother with me. That was being born in the 60s I guess! Of course Im walking now! Then at school I can remember being 2nd in the 1500 metres on sports day, out of 2 people but nevertheless I was still put down as 2nd!!! So, this is just one more situation to conquer and I will do it, definately, without an IVA, DMP or anything else. Thats my gut feeling and thats my aim. Im really looking forward to Xmas and 2010, to see just how MSE I can become!

Have a great day to anyone reading!!!
