    Debt-free and Proud!
Sounds like a great plan - hope you enjoy the gym xx
LBM 17th August 2009 Debt at LBM £18,612 Proud to be dealing with my debts.
  • Thank you so much for your encouraging words..Well, everything nearly went to plan. Went to the gym, was there in total for 1 hour 20 min inc getting changed afterwards, but the time in the gym was lovely, about 40 mins or so. So, planning to go tom am after taking dd to school. Didn't quite get all the phone calls done, but can catch up this eve. With regard to sleeping in bed last night, didn't happen til 4am ish. Fell asleep in the old chair again. Must have been at about 9.30 ish.

However, the good news today is that I collated £862 in orders yesterday. Normally my intial target is £500 per pick up, so that well exceeds that yesterday! Plus I have the books I didn't collect yest cos they weren't put out for whatever reason so more orders will come. I am also in the latest Kl mag and my "story" reads well, I think so am v proud of that. Money wise, just hanging in there, no more bills now till the 25th and then it kicks off on the 28th when my mortgage is due. Another busy day today so better get on so I can work on getting to bed in good time this eve. Picking my dd up from the school club at 6pm. The plan is to put out books, come home sort out a £400 del, deliver it before 6pm, collect dd, have supper - having shepherds pie I have pre cooked this eve - listen to dd reading, then phone calls for an hour, lots of prospects diarised to speak to today and tom and I do not want to get behind there, then relax for an hour, then bed. So, on with the day!!!

  • Am amazed how quickly the week has gone! Well, the good news, got to the gym twice last week, slept in bed the entire night last night. Due to go the gym this am, however, it is pouring with rain here, thinking I am going to pick up my books first, then depending on time go to the gym later. Picking up in the rain always takes me longer!! We had a power cut here yesterday, ended up going for a car ride with dd, and popped round a friend on impulse who was also effected. Lasted a fair bit of time, have never felt so appreciative for the joy of electricity!

Money saving, bought 2 chickens for £6 in Asda, have already cooked one and salvaged 5 meals from it for dd and me. Made some sausage rolls and cakes too for the week so feeling quite organised in that dept. Ironing upstraight too. Miracles will never cease!!

Money wise, have a lot of catching up to do. My spending diary needs updated, I need to keep my head down, and work hard, bring the money in. 3 ofmy pictures are going into auction this fri and sat, so hoping for good news in that dept.

On that note, better get on, am so busy with Kl at mo, will hang in there and get it all done.

Well Scrooge, I'm learning fast since being on these forums, and nothing was spared!! No, seriously, of course my dd doesn't eat an adults portion, so its 5 meals for 1 and a half people as opposed to 2. Also, I've split the portions up so 2 will be great to have with spuds and veg. The other portions will be great in a casserole or curry or with pasta. Yes, Im certainly learning to be a money saving queen!!!

  • Well, yesterday saw me true to form out there in the eye of the storm picking up my catalogues. It took much longer than I thought, not least because the wind was so strong and I had to fight to open the car door half the time and try and get in without it slamming back on me!! I wore my Kleeneze wet weather gear which I had recently won with pride! and have been well rewarded with £530 in sales from yesterdays pick up alone. My last three pickups over the last 10 days now total just over £1900 so I am thrilled. Will be working now till xmas eve to get round all my customers once more and give them all Xmas cards.
So, I didn't get to the gym yesterday, but I will do tomorrow and walking in the weather, endeavouring to keep going and not fall over was exercise enough!!.
I am behind with my prospect calls, but will catch up in a mo, tomorrow and thursday.
So, since our week away with the NVA, life here in our dear little abode feels much more calmer and serene. I think I have turned a bit of a corner, and in doing so that has helped my dd. Have bought my dd's xmas pressie which is a toddler size doll from argos. Has cost me £19.99 and I know she will be over the moon. Then just need to get a few more bits from Father Xmas, Asda I noticed have some great DVD offers at £3 a time.

Other news, one of my less valuable pictures has sold for £50 at auction, am starting definately this weekend with ebay, have said this before, but it is all kicking off for sure this time! Money will be tight for the next week or so until I get my kl bonus. My mortgage, life cover, sainsburys min payt, ploan, tv licence are all due early next week which is why I am so grateful for my fab sales! Oh thank god literally for this business. Another month has passed and the bills are paid, and no charges! Hoorah! It gives me the hope that we will be ok, and debt will be a thing of the past.

So, I think thats me for now. Need to just make 6 more tel calls, get ready for bed - yes the plan is to sleep in it tonight! - prepare for tom, and have a good nights sleep. Tom, the plan is gym, then 50-70 books out, then home, sort out a delivery, pick up dd. Do some deliveries, then home, have supper, do dd reading do some tel calls, then bed! Its all sorted in my head, just need to execute it to perfection!

Getting it all sorted in your head is half the battle in my experience, so I am sure tomorrow will all go according to plan.

Well done on the continued good sales etc :T

  • Well, no gym today. Have run out of time but I will get there tom am after dd to school and before I start work. However, have had a v productive time since my last entry. Have updated my spending diary, 2 weeks late, but its done now. My target spend per month is £500 to inc petrol, bus expenses, dd childcare, and other odd essentials like food! Spent £515 so am getting there. When I started it, I was spending upwards of £700 to £800 per month sometimes. Its taken a good 9 months to get near this target, and there's still room for improvement, so am v pleased its looking much better. I have needed to do this just to start living within my means as opposed to having more money to throw at the debt, but that will change as my business grows and I am earning more.

Need to update my signature next. Will get that done at the weekend. Off to have a snack, organise my delivery and go and get dd and then off we go to do some deliveries. So, back to work...
