Well, woriking hard today, however tomorrow and sunday are days withmy dd and family and friends. We will not have to go out and about working, anything I do will be after dd gone to bed so really pleased that I am sticking to a v important part of my plan. Tom have a friend and her dd coming round for supper, on Sunday my mum and dad are coming round for lunch, a sort of part of their pressie as it is their 46th wedding anniversary on Monday. Have lots of goodies planned to give them that dd and I are baking tom. We are going to make some choc truffle sweets for them and sausage rolls too. If the sweets are successsful then we will be inc them in our Xmas hamper pressies for everyone! On that note, back to the day to ensure it goes to plan. Another terrific order to process, one order from one customer is £95, total order over £300, £100 over target! My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

P&F, you are an inspiration, and I'm not surprised HO want to publicise your hints & tips! I'd suggest your article would make a great local "success" story especially if edited slightly to get yourself publicity. The aim being to get more customer and more team-members. Your success story will bring more success - and you deserve it! I'm sure you'd get help with re-writing it from someone on DFD. Here's to your continued success. Satchmo x
Thanks for your ideas Satchmo, what I plan to do is a newsletter to all my customers thanking them for their continued custom. Highlight the publicity Ive received and ask them if they or they know anyone who wants to earn extra money and just tell them how the year has gone. I did this once before and it was a huge success, people really liked the fact that I had gone to the effort in the first place, and liked being informed of our progress. You see some of my customers have lived my life with me in a way. They knew me before I married, some knew my husband, they saw me getting bigger with my pregnancy, some offered their homes for me to feed my dd when she was a babe going out and about with me in the car working, all lived my dh situation such was the publicity of that and now we all see time going by with how my dd is getting older and is now at school etc etc! Back to the newsletter, am still thinking when I will do it, this side of Xmas or the other, as I may offer a discount on their next order as a thank you and of course January from a business point of view would be better to encourage more sales than normal when there is a bit of a dip after Xmas. I have 1500 customers approx so quite a large audience. On the other hand, I give Xmas cards to everyone and of course it would be nice to do a newsletter at the same time as that to show my appreciation to them all.My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

So at last got a few mins to catch up. Had a great weekend, with a friend and her dd round for supper on Sat, and on Sun cooking dinner for my mum and dad. Both days were lovely. Since then, have been working really hard to maintain that balance so that work is just in the week and dd and I have great times together at the weekend. Sales are going well, just put a £518 order through, delivered a £300 order yesterday. 100 books out working for me to collect tom, and today getting upstraight with emails, paperwork and some calls to prospects. Collecting dd today at 4pm, we are going to the cinema shortly afterwards to see the Michael Jackson film, a real treat for us.
Money, just about ok, all bills covered, and its now approaching the time where I start to accrue funds for the next round of bills at the end of the month starting with the mtge! Received my first chq for £340 for a sale at a local auction, so that is good.
Am increasingly aware that the 13th is looming and that will be 6 years since my dd murder. What an anniversary to be remembering, in some ways it still feels like yesterday, I'm at the moment thinking this time 6 years ago he was alive, he felt the breeze on his face, he could see the sea, the sunrise, he could hear the sound of the birds, none of us knew, we were all in glorious ignorance of what was to transpire. I can recall the policeman knocking on my door at 4am and the surrealness - is that a word!! - of it all. In other ways it feel like a lifetime ago. But then I just have to look at dd to know it wasn't. She is a little version of him and if I could have one last time with him, I would want to hug him and for him to be able to hug her and see how wonderful she is! What a thing.
On that note, best not to dwell, will get on with my work to make sure we keep going and focus on looking forward as best we can!

Hi P and f
Glad you had a lovely weekend with dd and friends and hope you enjoy the film, i love going to the cinema.
My thoughts are with you regarding the 13th, must be a truly horrendous thing to have to go through, youe post brought a tear to my eye, i'm sure he would of been very proud of both you and your daughter.
Take care miemie0 -
PAF your words about your DH brought a tear to my eye too but if he had to leave his daughter behind I am sure that one thing would console him is that he left his daughter in beautiful hands xx0

Sorry, I was thoughtless, didn't mean to make anyone cry and I thank you for your kind words.
Went to see the film last night, will go in to my Happiness and Health, Success and Wealth folder as a nice night out together to remember!. My dd loved it as did I. Came home , dd went to sleep, made a cuppa, and was asleep myself by what must have been 8.30pm ish. Then woke up to a program by Callum Best about his dads addiction to alcohol and how it effected him and how it effects other children. It bought back memories of dealing with my dh alcoholism, and it was a really good programme. Then felt like looking at my wedding photos and was able to then remember the lovely memories. Then went to bed and here is a new day.
So, am once again taking stock of where I am. I do not want the next year to be the same as the last 6 in the sense of just feeling like Im just about muddling through, and clinging on for dear life. So, am in the process of sorting out a new 2009/2010 plan to get my - our with dd - life back on track to where I visualise it could be. Will post it on here when it is finished for the record. Im not sure Im ready to take on any credit card co and go to my MP at this time. I m actually sick to death of "fighting" my corner and think that has become part of my problem. Ive had to fight for so much since my dh situation and there has been only me to stand up to things, and I want a break from it for a while!!! I just simply want to be, know all is well and ,my best is good enough and of course that my dd is happy and healthy and enjoying her childhood. Back to doing some paperwork before she wakes up!!!...My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

Morning PAF,
Glad you had a nice night out with DD, and that you were able to gain some comfort from your lovely memories.
Have a good day.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -
I agree with what Scrooge said. You need to get some "me time" too as you're a great mum with your DD but you should spoil yourself more.
As someone who is self-employed and works from home too ( and has even done the job you're doing ), I used to treat myself now and again and it left me invigorated for the next part of my work programme....:D
Keep up the diary, it's still as inspirational as ever.:T0 -
Ah bless you SmartMart and Scrooge.
Yes, what you are saying is one of the things I want to address and with detemination I will get there. Smart mart, I would not be me if I didn't say if you ever want to come back, look no further than my team!!! I like to think I give 100% support! Good luck with your projects though and your income targets. We will get there! On that note, off to work, pick up those orders, then home later to do bus calls before my dear mum brings dd home...................My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

It's interesting PAF and SmartMart. I previously wouldn't have thought that a good living could be made out of K/E/Avon etc, but this last year I have heard of a number of people who are doing very well from it and enjoying their jobs, which is more than can be said for a lot of people these days.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it.
