Hi there Scrooge,
There is good money to be made from such things like K / B / Avon. I have never done it as a be-all-and-end-all job, it was always pin money to me. I'd earn maybe £30 - £40 a week tops after the cost of books, bags etc was taken out.
I did really well with a company called Everyday Essentials*. They are like Avon in that you get a set area that no other distributor could muscle in on. Sadly the cashflow at the top of the company wasn't good and they folded 3/4 years ago now.
If I do go back ( and I'm not intending to), I'd certainly do it through Positive & Focused as she strikes me as someone who would look after her team.
* Hope I haven't broken any advertising roles naming them. They don't exist anymore anyway!:eek:0 -

I previously wouldn't have thought that a good living could be made out of K/E/Avon etc, but this last year I have heard of a number of people who are doing very well from it and enjoying their jobs, which is more than can be said for a lot of people these days.
Hiya Scrooge
Whilst I am no advert for financial freedom - yet!! - I certainly know that w/o Kleeneze I simply would not be in this little home of ours able to work around dd. And it grew with time. At first I just wanted an extra £50 a week, then as I became fed up with my f/t work, I thought why not just go for it and work Kl nore f/t? So I did, and have never looked back. My customers are lovely, really lovely, dd is always being asked about and at Xmas she has more pressies than me!!, I have had customers offering me their homes when dd was a baby and needed feeding, customers giving me cups of tea and plasters when I have fallen over and when I haven't!!, customers giving me a hug when my dh situation was in the press. Customers who I hope are pleased with the service I offer them. Then with my colleagues and team, they are all just lovely people aswell. V supportive, again always asking about dd, some have become dear friends, and I just would not be me now w/o Kl. Kl is a part of me, a part of who I have become, it has helped keep me sane and as positive as possible in v challenging times, it is what gives me hope for the future. There is no one saying you can't do this or that and speaking as someone with a disability that is v refreshing. Its v self empowering, yes I thank on high for being in this business, and for all the people I have met along the way and for the future possibilities it offers. There will be a day when I can write in this dear diary that I am debt free and it wil be thanks to this forum and my debt free journey but also to my wonderful business and how with commitment and determination and focus I will be able to achieve growth year on year. And that is v exciting. If its one thing I have come to love, its achieving things that others think is impossible!!
Sorry for thelong post, however this has really helped me this eve. Up till coming on here, I was beginning to feel v morose and weepy with thinking about dh , and now whilst he is always in my heart, I realise there is so much to be grateful for and be hopeful about and look forward to. It will all be ok, we just need to keep hanging in there!!!My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

Wow, thank you everyone for your dear messages. I have just come on to update my diary. We are ok, had a busy day yesterday working, keeping busy helps with the emotions I always find! Today have been running around in the car trying to find a branch of Halifax open to do my banking. They have a computer breakdown, and two of our local branches here closed down because of it. Apparently they shouldn't have done, but there you go. Finally braved the town to find a parking space to go to the branch there so all is well. I have two dd's going out on Mon and I didn't want to miss having the money there.
Other positive news, received a chq for £89.54 for the sale of some jewellry which I am really chuffed about. I will put that towards one of the credit cards when it clears on thursday. This month has to be my most successful yet with regard to the amount I have reduced my overall debt by - inc my mortgage in that. So, onward and upward, seeing my sis and family tom. We are going there for lunch. Have made some cookies and cakes to take, and this eve dd and I are eating a home made put together sort of chinese! She had a little cry about daddy because I think she could sense I have been upset, but we are ok and she is happily playing as I type. We will be ok, and hope you are all well too. Thanks for all your kind thoughts. I dont know where I would be without this website! My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

Well. just a quick entry before I get on withmy paperwork here. Two v exciting pieces of news. Went to my sis yesterday and my dd and her childen were playing in the garden on bikes, My dear neices and nephew have helped my dd ride a 2 wheeler. Dd was so excited as was I. Ive never been able to do that. Always had a trike when I was younger. Always driving the traffic mad when I cycled anywhere on it. (No pun intended!). So, the stabilisers can come off dd bike next time and she can cycle away!! Am just so proud of her. We also saw a magnificent rainbow on our way in the car. The simple pleasures of life are still free!
Secondly, have slept a whole night in bed!!, and am going to the gym directly after taking dd to school today. Its an experiment. See if it works. Go to the gym twice a week, the physio said it would be good for my mobility and I loved going when I used to go regularly. If I can incorporate 2 visits a week around work I will be delighted. So, am giving it a whirl this week, gym, then working from say 10.30ish/11am till 5pm out and about. Home to do phone calls. Out again for a couple of deliveries at 6.30. Then home, phone calls. DD back at 7.30 from mums. Supper, relax, bed and that will be my day! My mantra for the day is "It will go to plan!!"My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

Morning PaF
I'm loving the new mantra! You must feel great getting a night's sleep at last, hopefully going to the gym will help that too.
Great news for DD and the bike too :T
Have a good day0 -
Sounds very much like a plan, PaF. Good luck girl...:D:T0
