Hi PAF,
I think you are right, one of the most important things is learning that you can't tackle everything all at once. There is only so much one person can cope with, it's a matter of asking for help where you can and prioritising the rest.
Definitely think there is some merit in trying your MP, only when you feel able though.
Well done on all you've achieved at work, you seem to be doing brilliantly well!

Sounds like a sensible approach PAF to recognise some things have to give some days/weeks to keep you sane and strong xx0

Well, Im quite chuffed with myself if I say so myself. I submitted my updated Kleeneze story to Head Office with some extra hints and tips that they wanted with regard to retailing at Xmas time, this was in light ofmy achievements last year in particular. So, I have done as they asked, they've got back to me this afternoon, think what Ive done is "fantastic"!! and I am going to be featured in either the magazine this week or next!! So, out of 10k distributors they've picked me on this occasion to provide what I hope will be inspiration and training to others!!!
This has to be Gods way of saying to me hang in there. I am doing well, I am right to perservere at building my business and keep working hard to maintain my financial stability, and this will certainly help raise my profile both within the Co and when I speak to prospects looking at the business as a viable earning opportunity. One things for sure, without my business - our with my dd as my asst! -, I would be out of this house long ago. They are going to send me my own special copy of the article, so how about that!!! Off to dish up the supper, sort out dd, then phone calls, then sort out my books, then bed!!My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

Hi PaF
Well done on getting into the magazine! :T Sounds like just what you need to stay motivated.
As for falling asleep early - snap - I did exactly the same last night. Then was awake half the night, stressing about work
Glad things are going your way x0 -
Hi PAF....:D
I've just read your diary from front to back and I have to say it is one of the most inspirational things I have ever read. You have come from the ashes of a terrible event and made a life for your DD and yourself despite more than the odd challenge along the way....:T
Thank you for visiting my diary and commenting on it otherwise I'd have never found your thoughts here. I wish you and DD all the luck in the world...

Dear Paf
I've been absent but just had a catch up.
I so identify with your shall I shan't I scenario with and IVA or a DMP. Sometimes in quieter lower moments I do despair and think I can't do this all by myself, and think I'm kidding myself.
But then inspiration comes in the form Of a posting on here, a thought of DH, and a glimmer of life after debt.
We'll both do thisDC.

Do you know I just thank on high for this forum. For all your support, for the feeling that we are all in this together and not prepared to give up. That in itself is so fantastic to me, it inspires me and keeps me going for sure, and I want to thank you all for just being there.
So, sleep. Last night. Fell asleep just after 9, woke up at 1.30am, finished my books, went to bed at about 3. Woke up at 7 this am, but with everything ready for today so a calm morning is being had here in my little office. So, Ive figured I will set my mobile alarm earlier tonight and really address the situation once and for all.
So, the good news! Have been able to pay £2.87 over the min payt to my Natwest cc debt and paid it today rather than nearer to the req payt day. While I have the money avail you understand, to get ahead of myself. MBNA have credited my acc with them the £51. Hoorah!!
On the MP front, have decided to arm myself with info about the Disability Discrimination Actwith regard to Service Providers such as the Halifax. I want to be treatedlike everyone else, but the stark reality is that I am holding my own on the edge with my mobility issues working against meAlso, find find out from NVA if there are any laws re murder situations I can draw on to defend my situation to the lenders re my situation before seeing him. They talked about giving me an offical letter from them. So, that is on my to do list for the next two weeks, make an appt for the third week in Nov, then go from there. The positive news is that I am due money in from all directions with the sale of furniture and pictures and jewelry at auction. That will all be going into the debt pot and some of it toward my tax bill pot which I am confident will be paid before the end of Jan. So, re my business all is starting well since our return from Newcastle. Orders collected yesterday in excess of £300. Today hoping to collect in excess of £200. Order earlier in the week just short of £400. Am putting some books out this afternoon, then a couple of deliveries, then home to do calls to prospects, then once dd home this eve - my mum collects her from school today - I plan to relax and have an early night. Will be setting my alarm clock for 9pm just in case I fall asleep before then!!!

Hi DC, our debts are similar in amount, and there will come a time of debt freeness!. At the beg of this year I was truely worried we wouldn't see the year out without getting behind, but we are not, I say we but I mean me and my dd!. And with the prospect of getting ahead with my finances following my re focus onmy business and the auction sales I feel on an up now. An IVA is not for me at this time. But at least we both know its an option if we should really hit rock bottom, but we wont because we are determined, focused and have the encouragement of these forums to keep us alive and positive and going! Take care DF!My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

P&F, you are an inspiration, and I'm not surprised HO want to publicise your hints & tips! I'd suggest your article would make a great local "success" story especially if edited slightly to get yourself publicity. The aim being to get more customer and more team-members. Your success story will bring more success - and you deserve it! I'm sure you'd get help with re-writing it from someone on DFD. Here's to your continued success. Satchmo xWhat would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0
