So dd been on hols for a week today and so far so good. Weather brighter this afternoon and I am collecting dd at 3pm from the school up the road which I hope she gets into next september as she leaves Primary. I booked her into a dance and singing week there and she is loving it...
Sales are going well. Currently just waiting for a delivery of goods to deliver later this afternoon.
Other news, dd had a terrific school report. Her attendance was 1 off being 100% and that was due to a half hour/45 minute visit to the chemist being recorded as a whole morning out of school so whilst I don't usually get all particular re statistics I have raised the point with the school given the way we have been treated by them. I am thinking just 1 more year, just 1 more year and I can put my experiences with that school behind me!
Otherwise, miraculously I am hanging in there re the finances. My accountants bill is covered, dd's school residential trip too, we have had a day out at the weekend and I am paying my mortgage tomorrow. Everything up to date. Would like to pay off more here and there but all things considered we are doing well, I keep telling myself that anyway. Forthcoming expenditure I need to find, childcare for four weeks of the school hols, and its imperatif I buy myself a new computer. Mine is really on its last legs, it must be 7/8 years or more so its done well and I will keep this one for my dd to use. It will all happen I'm sure - sending positive thoughts and feelings that I will find the money without going into debt - well more debt which I have happily been avoiding so using my credit card is not an option. I will wait.
My brother and his wife are definately moving to the US in October. I am so happy for the both of them. So going out to see them is something else I am bearing in mind re expenditure. I had planned to take my dd away next year, just I now know we want it to be the USA, California. We would stay with my brother and wife at their appartment so that keeps the costs containable. Will wait and see. If we can't we can't but I will be doing everything once the summer hols are over to get things into place to be able to afford the flights to go out next summer. Also, need to pay for new passports. In the meantime, dd and I are staying at my cousins next week , just for a couple of nights, it is our holiday this year in as much as we are away from home! and we are looking forward to it very much. The biggest positive thing I have been able to include in my monthly budget is mine and dd's membership of a local health club. The best thing I have done I think. It was a choice of doing that all year round or going away for a handful of days. We go swimming together regularly, I have been to the gym earlier today and feel really good. And that feeling is just fantastic and helps make each day feel more positive and I feel that I can say we are doing ok. If it's one thing i have learnt for me and dd it's vital we still live a life and do all we can to do things that make us feel good and help us stay as healthy as possible while on our life's journey which includes this roller coaster ride of paying off the debt! Progress a bit slower than I would ideally like but we are most definately in the right direction and every month the debt and mortgage are reducing in amount owed.So all in all, all is well...My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

Mum 2 one I am glad for you. An apology goes a long way to making things right. At dd's school it transpires the same has been happening! Rears kicked I mean..The Head was signed off "sick" in the last few weeks of the term but many parents had their suspicions there was more to it than that and I have heard from so many people now that she has been "suspended" but of course that could just be rumour . Whilst I don't wish her harm, I will be relieved if she never returns. Dd has just one more year and all I want is to get through it with ease and calmness. !
Moving on, life here is going well. My accountant is paid, I have enough money to buy a new computer and my friend is coming with me next week to do just that. The school hols are going well. Dd and I have had some great days out, we had a lovely time at my cousins and whilst this week dd is at the holiday club a few hours each day , we are full of plans around those times! We are managing to keep costs down, just taking a picnic and flask to the beach has simply been lovely. Being in the garden, pottering is lovely. Dd and I have some ongoing projects, one is to create a small pond to encourage wildlife, all we are doing is going to fill a plastic bucket with water, dig a hole in the ground, put the bucket in it and some water plants in it and see how it goes. It's an idea we've have found from a book we have got about developing a wildlife garden....
Other news, my brother and his wife move to the US at the end of September, just next month. We are seeing them later this month and I should think that will be the last time we see them before we go out there to visit next year.
Work is going well all things considered. Doing what I can in the time available during these school hols and I have plans for when dd is back at school to progress my business which I am excited about..
So, another beautiful day, sun out, patio doors open, will have a cup of tea in the garden and then dd and I are going to buy a couple of some water plants before she goes to the holiday club and I work out and about this afternoon...

All sounds wonderful. We had a bucket of rain water next to our pond and I was amazed last week to see something living in the water.Sealed pot challenge 822

All is well, money a little tight but getting things in place so it isn't! There is a reason for this and that is the school hols, paying my accountant and purchasing a new computer. I can't begin to tell you how lovely it is to use a computer that doesn't freeze up, or take an age to go from one application to another ..Dd has my old computer, she doesn't have the internet yet but she is enjoying practising using Microsoft Word! So, all in all I feel financially we have done well to keep up with all the outgoings. So, moving on I am revising my work plan with new targets for the remaining part of the year. The Xmas catalogue will be with me by Thursday this week and that will increase turnover and income. Dd back at school tomorrow, we are going out today with a picnic to enjoy her "last" day!! We have managed to do the homework set by her new teacher. School uniform sorted. Tomorrow, I am working from home to do all the things I've left such as reviewing my home contents insurance..
So, all is well, focus, am thinking positive and endeavouring to feel positive too..Off to sort out my dd and loving the weather!!My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

Wow, with all those expenses and summer holidays you have done brilliantly, DD gone back today, my dad went to pick her up, she made friends with twins in her class, and the mum invitied her for tea, so off she toddled.
We just spent the last week of hols staying on a farm, and extended the break till yesterday, so relaxing not having to rush back and meant we could see Rhyl airshow, although she didnt want to watch it from Rhyl, caught the tail end and the red arrows, yesterday lazy start, a few tears as she had made great friends with 3 dogs on the farm, (little tear from me as well!!), and stopped at chippie for lunch.
Sounds like your getting well organised with the christmas booklet, and the new plans, - has DD decided what she wants for xmas xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

That all sounds lovely. Yes, it is Xmas on my mind a bit now although with this lovely weather at mo I am still in summer mode! Dd knows exactly what she wants to do when she leaves school albeit that is 7/8 years away and to that end she would love a sewing machine and Kl sells one which is very reasonable and affordable. It's a basic model but would help her get started in making and designing "things"!
Other than that it was her first day back at school yesterday and I got her there on time. Today was a bit tighter time wise. I was more tired this am but nevertheless dd was there on time. Had a v productive day yesterday. Have my home insurance with the Halifax. My renewal price was £377! I left it for the summer and looked into it yesterday. It is now a more affordable £144 for a year and I receive £50 cashback which I had already received from the first policy too so by the time I receive this one they would have paid me £100 for sticking with them. I was paying my insurance from my mortgage each year so the refund owing will credit my mortgage so whilst I won't see any extra money in my hand as such its good that it will reduce my mortgage debt! Then the other thing I am sorting out is my pension. I don't pay into one at mo but I did work for Lloyds Bank for 18 years before I became s/e and it is that pension I am reviewing, hoping to make more of it and also look into planning for a cash lump sum - 25% of the value - when I am 55 years of age which is just 7 years away and will nicely fit in with when dd leaves school and when I am planning to be entirely mortgage and debt free. So, I feel yesterday was a very productive day and I feel I must be getting much better in myself because the pension is something that I had wanted to review since when my dh was murdered and I just hadn't felt I had the strength to look into it and do whatever was necessary and yesterday I put the review in motion so I danced around my little "office" afterwards thinking well done, that's taken 10 years nearly but you have done it! It wasn't half as complicated as I thought it would be.. Of course my pension is no where near adequate but I am grateful for what it is, better than nothing and I intend to make my Kl business work more for me. Well on that note I better go and work my business. I am picking up dd from school at 3pm so need to finish by then and we are thengoing to the beach as it is so lovely and hot today!..My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

Someone has been busy and thats a good deal the the insurance, and as u say the difference goes off the mortgage so that help in the long run.
Its hard to believe there in the last yr of primary, the sewing machine sounds a great idea, we picked up a kids one from Argos a couple of yrs ago, it was meant as a jokey present for my mum as she had 3 sewing machines but ended up selling them as she couldnt use them, got half of this one set up, but a friend said she'll get me going, so on the to do list xxxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
