Really pleased to hear this. My DD1 loves scouts too..in fact off camping this weekend. Amazing at teaching her new skills, team work and general resilience. Good level of chaos at times too;) so perfect prep for the world ahead I guess. I love the fact she loves it. Wish I had something like that when I was her age.

Have a great weekend and hope you were able to be a suitably proud parent this eve at the investiture ..although I imagine it makes you miss your OH even more...so hugs for that x

  • So much has been happening since my last post. DD been loving scouts each week. I've been loving the weather, this sun is up my street, bits of me are not as painful as usual, I feel more well in myself. And I just love being out and about in such wonderful weather..

So, work been ticking over. I intend to do more. Love what I do, just want more results, so need to do more or work smarter although I have to be realistic too. I have devised a skeleton plan to get through the 6 week school hols. Financially, am doing ok. Could do with a bit more flexibility in terms of the potential costings for additional childcare and days out during the summer so I have decided whilst I have a snowball plan in place re my debt if I make the min payts for the next two months so dd and I can have some days out then sobeit. Not that we would need to spend loads. I have vouchers, 2 for 1, for some places, others just entail taking a picnic, the beach for eg. We had a fabulous day on the beach at the weekend for min cost. Dd - we - loved it. It's just making sure I keep my business going and the money coming in. My ideal would be to keep to my snowball plan and cover everything else so positive thinking and all that, it may - will - just happen!!!

We are going to my cousins for a break for 3 days in a couple of weeks. We are looking forward to that, otherwise I am planning to budget for a holiday away next year all being well. I would love a holiday away but as like so many others its just not going to be feasible this year at present. Not the end of the world , as I say if the weather continues there are so many lovely places to visit for days here..

I have a day at home today, plan to do a customer newsletter raising my profile and inform my customers of developments in the business, sort my finances, emails, paperwork, mow the garden time allowing, collect dd at 3pm and plan to go swimming with her before having a restful evening ready for a busy Thursday and Friday. My brother and his wife are coming over on Saturday for a bbq - we've bought one of those £2 bbq trays. It seems as though they will definately be on their way to the USA later this year but no doubt they will fill us in on Saturday...

Other than all this, life ticking on, doing my best and being positive and taking a day at a time! Take care...
