The training button explains it all but basically you record the number of items of mail you receive and how many items you get which are not for your address. Dead simple to do and takes a couple of minutes if that on top of the usual daily tasks.

When I've received periodicals as part of the test mail system, I have received copies over a number of weeks (like a mini subscription), not just a single instance. Having put a Smart and a letter inside the first one, I expect they think you will easily recognise the next ones coming through your letterbox. So you record those online using the "no R number" option. (Or do you mean you received 3 copies of the same issue?)

I thought it would be a no R number but they are not on my list of items with no R

Come on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.

The '50p' micro-chips must also be made 'undetectable' to stop the problem from happening again.

They are a bit obvious though arn't they :)

On another note, I have lost/mislaid my sticky labels with my R numbers on and I have an item to post today. I e-mailed yesterday to ask whether they could tell me the R number which I could write onto the letter but have had no response. Has anyone else had this problem before?

Not sure cos can't check my own as they are all ready for posting :A but is the poster item number on the posting schedule not the same as the R number on the labels? Maybe someone else can check theirs for you?

Just realised you had to post the letter today so my comments above are may be not that useful now!

  • No, the poster number and the R number are different.
