richmondhamptoncourt wrote: »Hi
Just finished my test samples and now received quite a large envelope with 2 large packets to send out and what I assume are smarts (small clear envolopes with docs in and a number on them).
My question is I have entered the details on the website that I have prepared the packets and they are ready to post and included my Smarts but it asks about an R number. I assumed this was the number on the sticky label that you put in the packet but when I enter this it says not valid. What is an R number - is it usually on the sticky label to put in the envelope? Any experienced posters who could assist please.
Many thanks

Smarts are orange and they have four letters on them. They go inside your envelopes when your schedule tells you to.
If you go into your posting schedule, it will ask you whether you have put smart no XXXX in with poster number xxxx (this will tally with the persons name on your schedule). I
t should not ask you for a R number when you are doing this.
The only time you are asked to quote an R number is on the received items. The R number is the sticky label inside the post you receive not the post you are posting. Hope this helps.0 -

Does that make sense - if not I will give them a ring. Only just started and I dont want to get it wrong!

You don't input R numbers for items you are sending, if you click on to view posting plan and enter sent items, then click on the first item, this will take you to the page that says ''Did you Prepare poster item no. ****? If you have just press yes. To prepare it you need to take the sticky label that corresponds to the item you are posting and add a Smart if it asks for it and that is it.

I'm allowing till 11 August before I email them again.
Though I emailed to point out the red box and asked them to confirm the vouchers were on their way, all the reply said, in effect, was "if you've recorded things, just ignore the red" - but no mention of the vouchers.
Still red - but vouchers arrived today.0 -

The large grey bags are to return items sent to you after you have entered them on-line - post them on Saturday.
The small ones with foil inside are to return smarts when requested to do so by RI.
I would advise that you read through all the instructions that were sent to you also on their website. It is all very simple. :j0
