Can anyone confirm the part about making additional deposits?

After placing your Investment in the account you may make further deposits while the account is a current issue.

So if you"ve opened one and then say (for example) 2 months down the line they take the 5 year bond off the market you can"t make additional deposits?

Just need a bit of clarification!

That's the way I'm reading it - maybe the opening info will clarify when it arrives.

It means exactly that. You will not be able to make further deposits to it once it is withdrawn.

Think I have a handle on this (and their ISA) and shall be applying for both. It really does sound like a win-win situation either way and I am so pleased that I was too late to open the Close Brothers account now :)

Thanks for confirming this Claire. They've confirmed the same thing to me too.

I'm happy to eat humble pie and admit my concerns proved unfounded!

Received paper confirmation of my DD set up for this account today. Still no further instructions of internet log in details etc. I hope they don't close this in the next couple of weeks, as I have a fixed rate account maturing from Birmingham Midshires soon.
