unfortunately, the whole book is full of mistakes, most of them easily removed if they took the time to proof read
i assume its becuase they use templates to set the catalogue out, rather than individually formatting each page.
once you get used to the logic behind why they put certain items together, it becomes easier to 'navigate' by the colour coordinated sections
failing that, just grab a member of staff and ask them - im sure they'll find it for you eventuallyknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
when i went on the consumer law course, the woman running it was one of the main people in argos in charge of consumer law/catalogue errors etc. She said the most common error was manufacterers giving argos the wrong information or supplying the wrong product. They have a team who proof read the catalogue, but obviously they must be blind.0

Green Shield Stamps were founded in Britain by Richard Tompkins, Richard Tompkins also founded Argos in 1973.
When Green Shield Stamps fell out of use many Green Shield stamp shops became Argos stores - like the store in Leeds on Eastgate.
My new manager took great pride in telling me this

I believe that greenshield stamps were also issued at co-op stores which were replaced with dividend stamps which has now been replaced with a point card! Don't know if theres a link between them!?
Anyway, I ordered a wardrobe on 10/2/06 from Argos and still haven't received it yet. I paid in full including delivery and expected it within about 20 days. They have been in touch twice regarding delays from their suppliers but I still don't have my wardrobe. The latest date is "The beginning of May" No idea if I will get it in May or just another delay? I'm moving house soon and have a baby on the way so I just want to get this sorted ASAP. Can I get any discount for the delay?0 -
i just love Argos. I have never had any problems with returns (touch wood)
and know that as long as i have my receipt if the thing breaks within a year i can get a refund or replacement. I also know that if i change my mind after 16 days and have lost the receipt as long as the whole item is still in the original packaging I can get gift vouchers to the value of the item.. I also find that their prices are very competative and i love the spend £50 get £5 voucher back offers. And no i dont work for Argos I work in the NHS! UNFORTUNATELY.
I love Argos, Tesco and Boots. I am a shopaholic!Just about to give up!0 -
