I've cancelled my regular order now as my local shop has started doing 8 pints for £2.. But I have still been getting something from the milkman once a week at least.. I hate taking both my children to the shop so it's nice to know I can get the basics when I need them... Really came in handy when I had flu before xmas and I was on my own with the kids!
My bill for December came in at £40 and that was getting regular deliveries Tue/Thur/Sat.. And I bought Dairy Diaries for my mum and sister for xmas.. they loved them!
Getting milk/bread/bacon/eggs delivered tomorrow morning, yum!0 -
Oh and I forgot that I'm also getting a huge box of broken biscuits tomorrow!0

We don't have milk in our house but I use the Milkman mainly for bread, if he delivers it then I don't pop to the supermarket and come out £20 lighter! There is no issue so small that it can't be blown out of proportion0

I have a milkman who delivers 4pts and a bottle of orange juice every two days and it comes to £5 a week. Much cheaper than me going into Asda and coming out with milk and magazines!Feb GC: £200 Spent: £190.790

I get my milk from our little estate shop, only 99p for four pints. I think milkmen are too expensive.0

Going back to having a milkman. Going to get OH to collar him tomorrow. We use about 4pints a day. Felt guilty about not using a milkman for quite a while but OH said its cheaper at store down the road. Shop milk tastes different to me think its the plastic container and i must admit to being suspicious as to why they can sell it so cheap, it tastes watery to me and its cheaper than supermarkets. Told OH it will save on petrol and he wont buy extras we don't need and he wont have to buy sweets if littlies go with him, so i think it will save all round. On average i think OH spends at least a pound extra every time he goes for some milk lol . I would rather use it than lose it as i think that a lot of our elderly need the milkman.Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away. – Hilary Cooper

Hello, again! Just dug out this thread to ask if anyone has had a fruit&veg box from the milkman? Wondering if it is good quality/good value?
It's £12.99 for fruit, salad and veg, doesn't say quantities though!0
