    Hi
couldn't find this elesewhere. My partner has just called to say he is in Tesco, he has bought some Torres white wine, don't know the exact one, it's £5.99 a bottle but there's 150 points on each bottle. He bought 6 which after the current 25% discount was £27.99 and he got 903 points which as you know is worth £36 in deals. He's just gone back in for another 24 bottles, you can't have too much wine or too many tesco points, grab it while you can.
Thank you so much mustbemoreorganised. You helped me get 10,500 points towards P & O cruise, plus wine to last us a year and some bottles for gifts.
Definately the most beneficial post I have ever read on MSE.
    Cheers.
    Vegie.

I called into Tesco yesterday to find the Torres, all sold out. However, there are a number of wines with 100 extra points per bottle with plenty of stock. With the 25% discount and over clubcard 600 points I managed to buy 6 bottles for just over the equivilant £3. So whilst not free, or in profit, I think that there are good deals to be had.

My Tesco had none of the Torres today, so I asked for a 'Raincheck' voucher at CS desk and they've given me one.
So when it comes back in on Monday I'll still get the wine @ 25% off and the 150 extra pts per bottle :)

Might be worth asking tomorrow if your local has none on the shelf!

Hi never posted before so not sure if I'm doing this properly but just been to my local Tesco and they have run out of the Torres. However, their Tesco finest Gavi (which is fantastic!) has 100 extra pts per bottle. Bought three cases and one bottle of the sparkly that is on offer and got over 2,000 pts!

Absolutely fantastic deal as we always use our Tesco points for Deals. Just bought 6 Torres Red, 3 Torres Rosada and 6 Tagus Creek (100 points each) - quids in! I was amazed there was any on the shelves: normally someone has cleared the lot by the time I get there.

Had my order cancelled this morning as they called and said they were "out of stock" Hubby went to store half an hour after call and picked up 12 bottles which is fantastic , very pleased... a bit dissapointed with the dubious "out of stock message" though - but at least we saved the delivery charge!

what is this raincheck you speak of?? Wow - sounds great but how does that work?
I miss using my infinite coupons at Tesco!
2010 was the worst year ever :(

Found this on another thread, interesting!!

They actually call them "raincheck vouchers" all Tesco stores should provide you with one on request, another one of their little public secrets if you know what I mean.

By the way "raincheck vouchers" apply to ANY offer Tesco run, in the event the item is not available yet on promotion you can request one, also make sure they don't put a limit on the voucher, if they do simply tell them "well actually I was going to buy 350 of these" or whatever figure suits you, Tesco policy is that you should not be disadvantaged by understocking, again raincheck vouchers can be monitored by head office in so much as when you use them out of promo time a special code has to be input into the system and this highlights the fact that stock levels were not maintained for the promotional period yet another disincentive to store managers to follow policy!

Would you want to willingly point out your mistakes?

    Happy shopping :j:rotfl::T
