I am still waiting for tesco clubcard CS to get back to me regarding 1800 missing points.

Points showed up on my receipt but i didnt have my CC with me, Took receipt in 2 days later to have the points added manually and SA threw my receipt away saying they'd been added.

When i rang Cs to change my address only the ''spend'' points (48) had been added.

So for the last 2 weeks they have been investigating my shop to prove that i bought the wine as SA threw my original receipt away, i know now that i should have asked for it back but i'm new to tesco CC so had no idea of the sneaky tactics.

They have all the details they need, date of shop, EXACT time of shop as my mum bought a few bits before me and still has her receipt so i could tell them exactly when i made my purchase, which till and who was serving me.

Tesco did tell me that if you dont use your CC when you shop NO bonus points will be added if you take your receipt in later to have them added even if the bonus points are showing on your receipt.

Ive had allsorts of excuses, - they will show up on you next statement, we've had problems with some of our bonus points products.

Needless to say - iam not letting this one go, and i will keep on at them until the missing 1800 points are added.

When i rang earlier to ask what was happening the guy i spoke to said - er nothing is showing on my computer about an investigation, maybe he hasnt entered the information yet as he's stil investigating it. What a load of rubbish.

So my advice, check your receipt, demand your points there and then, do not go back later and dont trust that tesco will add them later. Keep your receipts even after points have been added.

I was told on the phone yesterday by Tesco that NO points are to be added on instore any more...some offers..not all...are having the points added on to your statement at a later date, I argued that there would be no way I could keep track of this but she was adamant that this is a new system they are "trying out"

How on earth could anyone keep track of everything then...I for one am going to start keeping ALL my receipts...check balances every time and add them to a little black book!

Tesco cs tried to tell me the same thing that extra points are not going to show on your receipt anymore.I rang clubcard who denied this and said they were infact having problems with some promotions showing up on receipts.

How would you be able to tell if bonus points were added if they are not showing on the receipt.I hope they are not changing it to this!
  • Same here, there's a real grey area now on this, they still owe me 800 points for the Champers. It's a great try on by them though.

It makes me laugh that they keep spouting the same script about being added later. I have had conversions with more than one cs agent asking how you are supposed to keep a track if points not added. The helpful suggestion was to make a note on your receipt. If you had to do this with several items how would you know which ones have been added and those that have not. Surely any sane person would realised that this is not customer friendly. I have sent a letter to cs. I will probably receive a standard template letter back, lol.

I received an email, initially advising that there had never been an offer inc 800 points for the champagne.

They now admit that it was an error and it was just supposed to be 80 points.

The email also advised that they will not be including the points on my delivery receipt, but that they will be added to my account in the future.

I can forget points from now on, it was bad enough before, but it will be impossible to prove/disprove the points situation in the future. They will just keep fobbing us off.
ACII and Chartered so now I can focus on learning to play my beautiful Sax. 🎷
