I couldn't find any in my usual store yesterday (Brockworth, Gloucester) so my husband called in this morning on his way to work. He found a small amount of the red Torres but no indication of extra points. On asking a member of staff he was told that different stores have different offers and if it's not marked on the shelf then it isn't in that store.
I went to Tesco's, Cheltenham today and found the red with the 150 points clearly labelled, however the price was £6.49 not the £5.99 on the Tesco.com website. Queried the price difference with members of staff and was eventually sent to customer services who told me (somewhat smugly I thought, and with no offer to check the price on their computer) that the online prices are often different to the in-store prices and that different stores have different prices to each other. I decided to buy the wine anyway as the 25% off and 900 points made it well worth while - was delighted when the it went through at £5.99 per bottle!
Was tempted to go bck to customer services and point out that they were wrong but decided against in case they changed the price up or something. Actually I have noticed a few times that Tesco's labelling is not always up to date but thankfully the till/computer usually is. I am told there was some Torres in Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham earlier in the week.0 -

Beware of this deal online!! I'm personally never using Tesco again!! I couldn't believe what they did to us! I was very excited about this wine deal but we don't have a tesco in town so we ordered online. Wasn't too bothered about the Torres. We've shopped in tesco before and they're always out of stock on any of their deals so we thought there was no chance of getting the Torres. We did really want the 25% off though as it is a fab offer. Anyway we did our whole weeks shopping online, wouldn't normally use Tesco but did because of the wine discount. The delivery arrived and guess what? They didn't have three of the bottles that we had ordered. Not a problem we thought, as we had selected 'replacement items' and the deal is for ANY bottle of wine as long as there is a total of six. Oddly enough though they had replaced our three bottles of wine with just two bottles. The first time for us that they had ever had replacement items for an unequal quantity - coincidence?! This meant we would only have a total of five bottles and therefore do not qualify for the discount! We refused all of the wine - I wonder if they were hoping we wouldn't realise!!
I'm sticking to Sainsburys in future.Their 3 bottles for £10 is brilliant and they always have a nice wine in the selection.
Also for online food shops Ocado is very reasonably priced these days - competing with both tesco and sainsburys and the quality of the food is much better.0 -
I got 6 bottles of the cava yesterday in carlisle. they were out od stock of the torres - well they did have rose but we dont like that. I told another couple about the offer and they quickly snapped up 6 bottles and said how clever i was, lol.
So 6 bottles of cava @ £10.99 a bottle
Sub total £65.94
Wine discount (-25%) £16.49
Total to pay £49.45
1849 clubcard points recieved
BUT my mum gave me £25 towards them as they were for her hen night last night and i had a £25 gift card that sky sent me so i got them for FREE.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T

http://supermarketspecialoffers.com/TescoPointOffers.aspx is quite readable (taken from an earlier post on this thread). The post at HUKD has been sorted into points per pound though, which is good. best value is their olive spread £1.24 and 50 points.
thanks will have a shifty at this - just donated the last of my wine mountain to the school fair

Those who use the 750 code on incomplete deliveries keep one bottle as u still get the 750 n 150 points and on ne order something u know they will have in that is cheap to keep so u collect the points - i didnt xxSIMPLES!0

People have been banned from clubcard for returning stuff in the past in order to keep the bonus points - Tesco consider it 'Not in keeping with the spirit of the scheme' or something. Please don't do it
Did you not hear me;)?
Never mind.
I am always completely open with SA's and CS and always remind them to reverse points when I rtn an item. It's never yet been done though.
Why not be straightforward?
Of course, we want to do the best we can. Of course Mr T wants our money.
So...?
All involved admired my calculations of which way/best way/sums/points.
I am unconcerned and anticipate the August mailing with pleasure.
On a tight budget - pension - it is worth making the system work and I imagine Mr T and supplier are happy with the take-up, too.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

please forgive me, I'm also having trouble with this,
I cant work out how the 900 points change into 3600 points. I'm under the impression that the points are only worth 4 times the amount due to the fact that deals are sold so cheap. In which case 900 points would only be worth £9. still nice as I'm saving for merlin passes but not quite the £36 that could buy me one anyway. please help0 -
Great tip Martin. Today I used £5 of clubcard vouchers, doubled to to be worth £10 in store for wine purchase, had the last 6 bottles of Vina Sol ( yes, it is a very pleasant white ) so with the 25% discount I paid £16.91 instead of £35.88 AND GOT 900 clubcard points worth £36 when exchanged for deal vouchers! To be well in credit plus 6 bottles of decent wine is not a bad reward for 30 minutes shopping!!0
