    Hi All.

Well it's one week in and my steel trap mind is still working well. The budget has been stuck to but I am finding it tricky to work out how much of it is still disposable.

For example, it looks like there is £113.62 left BUT £27.95 a week is accounted for SO 4 weeks dairy +4 weeks veg box + just 3 weeks fruit comes to £107.80 giving me just £5.82 for whoopsies and emergencies. BUT as there is £1.71 left from this weeks fruit budget there SHOULD be £7.53 left in the purse.:o

    More gin please...

Just popped in to update my sig with my latest spends. Spent £4.06 on sanitary stuff and deoderant. Mr S has mens Ad1das deod on buy one get one free.

My freezer is looking really empty as I am trying to use everything up and then stock up at the end of August when we are back from our holiday. Am I right in thinking that it costs more to run it nearly empty? Should I filll it up with carrier bags or something?

My sons off to spend the day at his new high school tomorrow in Hitchin, so I'm off to Stevenage to do my weekly shop. I'm going to Asda, it's a much larger store than my local so I will have to try very hard not to buy any extras. !!! Wish me luck.

Spent £13 in Lidl and £16 in Tesco (or was it the other way round ?, anyway it was basically just under £30 in total), purchasing amongst other things cereal (offer), juice, cheese (offer), part-bake croissants, blackberries and apples to make crumble, beans (offer). Still got a little money left to do until next Tue (14th), and new month starts on 15th. Will need milk, possibly bread and maybe some FV until then.
Trying to work my way through the freezer and getting there slowly- quorn cottage pie tonight but enough left over for another day, was going to be freezer quiche tomorrow but think will make a HM one instead, and use up some asparagus thats been lurking, along with some cold meat.
Anyway, enough of my waffle, hope you are all doing ok and enjoying GC.

Spent 45p today on mushrooms from the village shop to top my hm pizza which we are having in a couple of minutes with salad leaves from the garden. I found 4 slices of ham in the freezer so used two chopped up for the pizza and we had a round of ham sandwiches each for lunch. Have just got back from my first ever pilates class and I ache!

DH has fasting bloodtest and ECG tomorrow so I will be going with him to the surgery as he can't bear the thought of the needle! Poor thing will be starving by the morning!

    Catch up tomorrow.
