Does anyone know where the "View First Unread" button has gone?

It's now a small button in the same place, little blue box with a down arrow, if you hover over it, it will say "View first unread"

    Hi guys,
well did the first shop of the month and it is really high, I had run out of so much!!! I have also tried to buy enough meat and bread to last me for most of the month.

However, inspite of having a list I forgot salmon, wash up liquid and cat litter so had to go again today and still did not get the fish!!!!

So I have spent so far this month on grocery - £135.20/£250 I would say that it is not looking good at the moment, however, I will still try and make it by having some NSD and trying to stay away from the shops.

    Wish me luck!

    H
  • The months are going so fast.. Anyhoo welcome to all the new challengers. Can I be put down for £300 for July thanks. First online shop came to £118-85 plus £6 tomorrow for school dinners. Packed 2 boxes of the online shop into boxes for camping. The kids were inspecting it yesterday:rotfl:. My kids also snack regularly on crackers. Righto of to make them their second lot of crackers before bedtime :D. More cheese Gromit:rotfl:

I did the week three (of six) top up shop today. Ended up as a quite big shop at £21.34, though as I mentioned yesterday I had £23 available for this shop, so within budget, and I didn’t go ‘off list’!:D

Bought two of the 75p fresh’n’lo 2 l milk, which is about how much we use in one week, its BBE is 9 July & will save a pop to the shops ‘just for milk’ LOL. Also got bigger packs of couscous & noodles than actually needed, but they last ages & works out cheaper in the long run.

Otherwise it was fresh fruit, a few other fresh items, pack-up & snack bits. Should mostly be enough for the remaining two weeks of term & next week should only need fresh stuff.

Not doing a proper batch cook this month, as we are going away on 1 Aug & want to use up the remaining portions that are in the freezer from previous months. But I did make some quiche with the last of a gammon joint. And popped a chicken carcass into the SC this morning for stock, which I’ll use for mulligatawny soup, as DD has decided that she really likes it & keeps asking if there is any.

The only ‘dinner’ was a huge batch of 12 portions of bolognaise sauce, as was down to a single portion in the freezer & this is another of DD’s current favourites. Of course, being a kid, she will undoubtedly have a different favourite next week!

Hi all today I spent £40.33 so I'm off to update signature but also had a good free shop at the allotment, a few spuds, radish, beetroot, spinach, spring onions and courgettes:D must find some nice ideas for courgettes as they seem to be coming in abundance!
