    Hi All

    (edited)

I'm aiming for £310 this month. It's my first time doing something like this and it's based on £10/day.

    Hi everyone,

my July GC begins with tomorrows shopping trip. We will be away for 4 days but i shall stock up with extras with anything that is left over.

Mrs M could you put me down for £160 for July please.

We have some relatives coming to stay early on in the month so hopefully anything that we save by being away will be cancelled out by our visitors and it will be a normal month IYKWIM :D

My meal plan is partly formed in my head so i just need to get it down on paper and tweaked a bit before it vanishes!

    Good luck guys

    This is not looking good....

Went to MrT today with DS1 as he's off school with a headache. Think it must be catching as I got it as soon as the cashier told me my total. I spent £100.72 but £14.50 of this was on 2 x tshirts for DD, some MrMen crockery for my nephew to put in his xmas stocking (really) and 6 x new tablemats as mine are really tatty.

So that leaves £86.22 on food. Did get 2 x 18 walkers crisps on bogof which will do packed lunches for the rest of this term, plus into the holidays. Also got salmon, chicken, gammon joint, haddock, 4 x beef mince (2 large packs split) plus quiche for tonights dinner. I also had to get some laundry goods, deoderant and shampoo - all of which bump up the total.

My month runs until 21st, so it doesn't look good I'm afraid.

Only just realised I hadn't update my sig from last month - so that's sorted now :)

Total spend so far is £112.90 - sounds high for so early on, but I ended up with two sets of the MrT/Mail vouchers so have been stockpiling to see us through. I have a weeks milk, cheese, bread, 2-3 weeks of picnic-y/packed lunch items, along with almost a full month of cooked meals (although I will admit that's been helped by the fact we haven't actually cooked this week yet - just too hot) - so as long as I can keep tabs on the ice lolly consumption  we should be ok.

*note to self - buy lolly molds*
