Hi Wortle yes I have read your post and I have spoken on live chat and cancelled my subscription I have been given a cancellation number and sent an email stating that it is cancelled. I have packaged the item and will be sending it back to the address at Bedford by recorded delivery. Will this be the end of my shameful quest or is there anything else I have to do. Will I be able to get money back for US shipping charges that actually didn't come from the US, thanks for your time.0
-
That looks about the same as I did but in my covering note to the bedford address I requested a full refund of all monies paid to my credit card inc shipping as the product was unused and gave the 14 days to do so.
I have only seen my internet statement and it looks like the full amount has been refunded. BUT did you sign up for the other things as talked about above?0 -
Yes I think I did Wortle how do I go about cancelling these.0
-
I cant advise as I didnt go for anything else but there is plenty of info elsewhere on here with numbers, also just googling the names you have seems to turn up loads so I am sure the info is out there for you:D0

Dazzle White (now calling their product Dazzle Smile) are currently giving their address as being in Nicosia, North Cyprus:
Farend Services Limited
3 Athinodorou Street, 2025 Dasoupoli,
Strovolos, Nicosia, Cyprus
http://www.dazzlesmilepro.com/contactus.php
Given that the company (Just Think Media) is based in Canada, why would they do that? Very dodgy.
Yet one of their other sites gives their address as a US one:
Farend Services Ltd.
PO Box 10276
Des Moines, Iowa
50381
United States
A Google search shows that address as being linked with hundreds of complaints about Dazzlewhite and Acaiburn:

A search on the Cyprus address shows links to lots of p0rn sites:
http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=3+Athinodorou+Street%2C+2025+Dasoupoli%2C&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a
I would suggest everyone file a complaint at https://www.econsumer.gov and at https://www.fraud.org so that the relevant authorities can investigate these companies"The happiest of people don't necessarily have the

Hi Del0804 I noticed your post yesterday and I wanted to advise that there may be another subscription you should look out for. I cancelled dazzle, insider secrets and comprehensive weightloss only to find a month later I was charged for another subscription called MyDietId.com. As far as I can remember I never signed up for anything else when I ordered the Dazzle white and I have fallen into all the same traps as everyone else. I dont think it is something you will be able to find out about though until it appears on your stantment. My point of contact was dazzle white chat who gave me a number to cancel 1-888-491-8904 or by E-Mail at support@mydietid.com. the number doesnt work and they are unresponsive to email. Keep an eye on your statement.0

There is also an affiliate network in the UK (Profitistic) promoting this dazzlewhite / dazzle smile pro scam on their network:

Feel free to contact James by phone or email and tell him what you think of the company he is "pleased to welcome" as a client of his!"The happiest of people don't necessarily have the

I ordered the free trial, with delivery of about $4.95 but after I had checked out the price shown was $11.90!!
I immediately called to cancel (distance selling regulations, you get 7 days to cancel when ordering online).
They had also signed me up to 2 subscription websites which I had to call separately and cancel. 3 separate calls to the States... what a waste of money.
That was July. Today I notice a transaction on my online banking for MYFITWATCHER.COM and the telephone number for the company on my statement is not in use. I immediately suspected it was Dazzlewhite so I called my credit card company (Nationwide, highly recommended!) and they cancelled my card to prevent further fraud and agreed to cancel the transaction as I had cancelled at the time.
What a nightmare! The amount of money this "Free Trial" might have cost me it would be cheaper to have my teeth whitened properly at the Denist!
My Quest0 -
I have done the same and blocked/ reported as stolen my credit card (egg) Because I will be issued with a new number etc I have been assured they can not take any further payments off my card.
What my credit card company didn't seem to understand was that I was worried about the scamsters using a different company name each month resulting in me having to fill out paper work to dispute a transaction each month with no promise of getting a refund.
Although they were reluctant to do this they did in the end.
Because I didn't know about MyDietId.com and whilst I had cancelled everything I was advised to, it is likely that this could have been a recurring problem and I could have been subscribed to goodness knows how many companies with no way of finding out.0 -
"Almost 700 complaints have been filed with Edmonton's Better Business Bureau about the online company Dazzle White or Dazzle Smile. "
"...agencies across North America are looking into the company, including the FBI, U.S. Federal Trade Commission and Canada's Competition Bureau"

Any victims of this scam can file a complaint online at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ or http://www.econsumer.gov/english/ and www.ic3.gov/ - the more complaints they get, the more evidence they have and the more likely they are to take action against this rip-off."The happiest of people don't necessarily have the
best of everything; they just make the best
of everything that comes along their way."
