  • Hi Pitkin2020
I have been into the bank today who have blocked any further payments to Dazzle white but they told me to ring and cancel 2 other subscriptions which I had no idea I had signed up for. They are called "Insider secrets to weight loss" and "Comprehensive weight loss E Book". Something to do with the fact that I used my bank card and the money is taken under "Web Access". (Don't really understand why!) If I cannot cancel by telephone then they will change my card. After reading all the horror stories on here and Complaints Board I think that cancelling my card is the safer option (and least expensive).
  • Just been through the whole cancellation process for the Missus.

Product was delivered today and it wouldn't dispense the gel so I went online to check how the pen worked and then stumbled across so many scam reports....

We've cancelled all three subscriptions and sent the Dazzlewhite back by recorded delivery for Proof of Delivery. Once the product is delivered you can call Dazzlewhite back and they will accept the PoD and then guarantee not to make any charges.

Called the Weightloss e book first and spoke to "Nicole". Got the cancellation number. Called on the Insider secrets number and spoke to......... "Nicole" again..... Such a blatant scam......!!

We've cancelled the Credit Card it was ordered on too. First Direct said that no payments could go through so fingers crossed its sorted.

An hour out of my day sorting out unscrupulous sorts really gets me

Hopefully its all sorted and I can now focus on getting my real work done today....!!!!

    Hi,

    Conned here too.

The con involved buying two whitening products from two different companies and using them together. Dazzlewhite and Idolwhite by Kardashian Smile. All of these names seem to be associated with Healthbuy.com.

After my 'free' orders, an email came from healthbuy.com and went straight into my spam folder so I didn't see it. It said 'do nothing and we'll take $99.00 from your account for a life-time supply of idol white. I found the email when investigating why £60.81 had been taken from my account.

I can't believe I've been such an idiot. The contact numbers my bank has for them are all discontinued and they never answer the number on their website. My bank is writing to them to stop them from taking anything else.

    Grrrr!!!

I have every sympathy with you, as i have spent all day trying to contact this lot, with very little/no joy. Yes, three companies you've never heard of are likely to charge large amounts of money to your card, and you are very lucky if your credit card company is not Nat West as they have little empathy, and until i cancel my "subscription" that i knew nothing about until today (after all i only signed up for a free trial for teeth whitening...it'de be cheaper to go to poland) will they stop further payments....even though i have instructed them not to. i have to fill in a form they will send me, then they can help apparently.
Well, i would like to make it loud and clear that all addresses given for this "company" are private houses, the owners of which must be going through hell. I have a crime number from Durham police to this effect. So be warned, this outfit are operating in a criminal way, and government legislation should be in place to stop this kind of thing. Maybe we should have read the terms and conditions, but quite honestly, the fact that our banks can continue paying out their customer's cash once they have been told the company is criminal, is an absolute outrage.
  • ah ha....you can't be banking with nat west....
  • all the addresses they give are private houses. these people are operating in a criminal fashion, and god help the current owners of these properties. i have contacted the durham police and now have a crime number. the phone numbers are very hit and miss to contact.
  • When I signed up to the trial the Terms & Conditions do not come up during the registration of the trial. Only later on another link I discovered, after they charged me first around £35.00, the Terms and Conditions.

I requested my Credit Card (CapitalOne) not to accept any further transaction from them.

3 weeks later, again a similar amount has been taken off. I contacted again my Credit Card and they adviced me to call the company in the US and cancel any agreement. They also informed me that they can't do anything about it.

Only a week later after the second payment I received 3 tubes. I immediately send them back with an angry letter also requesting to cancel my agreement and refund my money. This has been send to their office in the UK that seems to be BTB Mailflight UK. I never even tried their product.

They also took 2 other small amounts last week related to some other health schemes.
I contacted the FSA and OFT today to make an official complaint not only against DazzleWhite (DazzleSmilePro) but also CapitalOne. They are not protecting their customers when their is clear evidence of a scam.
I will call DazzleWhite today and cancel it over the phone.

I also noticed something strange, when I signed up the first time the company promoting this was Dazzlewhite and had a website that now doesn't exist any longer but redirect you to DazzleSmilePro.
Also something interesting, one of the main shareholders lives in Cyprus and some of the money goes to the account in Cyprus.

I really hope that someone will pursue this company for fraud and theft.

This happened for the first time to me and I can't understand that their is no better protection for the consumers.

I think that every Trial, promotion or purchase should give you first the Terms & Conditions before you can proceed to the next step.

    Marc
  • I too fell for the promise of teeth gleaming like the stars (excuse pun) for under £10. Very much the same story as others before me, tried to cancel immediately, kept the pen when it still came since I had already paid inflated delivery, now have charges, Live Chat Line pointed to T & Cs, now have to send all details to bank to stop further payments & deal with all three different charges.
But I would like to know from others out there who also tried the 'Idol White' at the same time if they had the same problem with them? I can't find a forum on them anywhere.

When you say that the Durham addresses are private houses do you mean that the people living there have nothing to do with this scam? (It is after all quite possible (and legal) to use the address of a private house as the registered office of a Ltd company).

If the people at these Durham addresses are completely innocent victims of these scammers then they must have been placed in a horrible situation - possibly getting some very nasty letters (or worse) addressed to them!

By the way the UK company name of Gillmap Limited (as used by Dazzlewhite on their website) : [Gillmap Ltd 9 Broomhill Stanley] is listed as part of a major legal action: (See http://www.jayweintraub.com/ )

This website: http://www.webcops.net/just_think_media_spam_scams_8001.html has some good information about the company behind Dazzlewhite (Just Think Media) and the founder/owner Jesse Willms.
