hi everyone id like to join! ill give you the short story....

i gave birth to my baby oliver august last year.. i was 2, 2 and a half stone heavier than i should be when i got pregnant and then gained another 2 stone once he was born! since he was born ive been trying to diet although not exercising, i was losing a pound some weeks, sometimes staying the same, sometimes gaining a pound or two

i promised myself id get slimmer for when my son is toddling, for a wedding this summer, and for when i go back to work so they dont all think "corrrr, shes put on alot!!"

i had lost about 10 pounds since november time following slimming world, but then gained 4 since xmas and seem to be losing and then gaining the same pound..

anyway, i got a text the other day asking for my address for this wedding invite and i suddenly thought oh god i have to get into this properly. ive been working out on the wii fit plus since then... hate the fact i cant get out of my flat because of the damn snow.. also try and do a bit of a work out dvd and try and keep my portion sizes smaller as thats my biggest down fall... not what im eating but more than i should and then not burning anything off...

so id like to join you all! think this wedding im going to is in june and i have to go back to work in july (boo) so by then really id like to lose as much as poss to get back to my slimmest ever which is 11 st 7 (ive only ever got there twice... to be honest, wouldnt mind being in the lower end of the 12 st mark)

ive got all the slimming programmes recording/recorded so i have been watching them, and am always looking out for new games. do let me know how the biggest loser game is going!

:( thought I'd been really good today, but just entered my food for the day so far into calorie counter programme, and I've only got 200 cals of my allowance left, and haven't had dinner yet!

Breakfast: 2 pieces of wholemeal toast and a banana
Lunch: baked potato with baked beans and salad
Snack: 125mls 0% greek yogurt, with 2 tsp Options choc powder and a small banana.

It looks like it was the baked spud which pushed me over the edge so to speak, yet I thought when I was ordering it that it was a fairly good choice.

Looks like its going to be a meagre tea for me tonight!

    I've lost a kilogram!!

    Only, um, 8 to go ... but it's a start :)

And now I have a goal - my BIL is marrying his trophy wife in July in Bermuda, and I refuse to have to shoehorn myself into a bikini I then spill out of.

  • Yay SS and L&M. Great losses for both of you.

I finally feel well enough to exercise today so have done some nice (careful) walking in the ice. I've also dug out my Pilates DVD so I can crack on with that.

  • How did it go, SM? I'm going to weigh myself in a bit when I shower. Fingers crossed for both of us!

Yesterday was not the best diet-wise as we went for a pizza! I only had chestnut soup for tea though, so hopefully that made up for it.

Still so icy here, but I have to walk to the doctor later so that will definitely be one good walk today.
