:hello:Right, I'm here and I mean business! The good news is I lost 7lb in the two weeks over Christmas and New Year, the bad news is I still have 2.5-3 stone left to lose. I can really only put the Xmas weight loss down to BFing as I ate so much chocolate and cheese it is unreal!
I've decided to take things steady to start off with. I am now six weeks post c-section and still exclusively BFing so I suspect crash dieting and intensive exercise are still no-nos (especially coupled with new baby broken sleep, although I am pretty lucky with Henry in that respect).
Anyway, aims for January are as follows-
1. Walk with Henry everyday- this will mostly be with him in his sling and I'm aiming for 1-2 miles a day at a good pace.
2. Healthy breakfast everyday, five fruit and veg everyday, soup or salad for lunch, only snack on fruit or yogurt during the day.
3. No takeaways
4. No booze (not that hard as the last time I was drunk was NYE 2008)
5. Drink more water
I might add to that depending on how things go. I want to start running again, but I'm not 100% sure my cs scar is up to it just yet, although I'd like to do a couple of gentle runs by the end of the month.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

Today's my first day back on the straight and narrow too. Back up to 11 stone 11 after Xmas excesses. Aim to lose 11lb by end Jan as first short term goal, and try for at least 10mins of exercise per day, which isn't as easy as it sounds as this new baby is a constant crier, so I rarely have time to do anything for myself, except overeat obviously :rolleyes:0

Have you got a sling, Nicki? Henry can be very fractious, but loves being in his sling so I stick him in it and go for a walk. Good exercise and it calms him down.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Right, I am back on the weight loss wagon after falling off rather spectacularly over the festive period
and putting on most of the weight I lost before Christmas, whoops!
My first goal is: 1 stone weight loss, by march.
I am taking this weight loss very seriously now, as I have a goal to look forward to. We are booking a holiday to France in June, the last time I went there (about 3 years ago), I felt like such a whale compared with all the skinny, stylish ladies over there, (and got some really dirty looks too) . I am determined to be able to wear a swimsuit without worrying what I look like this time
.
I know I can do this, I lost loads of weight about 8 years ago and I felt so fit and confident, I want to feel like that again!Value of prizes 2010 - 2017: £8374 Wins 2022: Magic set

I have 2 and he hates them both! He really is a monster baby, quite unlike my other two! To be fair to him though, he is being investigated to see whether he has a medical problem, as he isn't putting on weight quickly enough and vomits a lot, so there is probably a reason why he is so difficult, as I keep reminding myself when times get tough.0 -
looks like everyones making a good start ive not had crap today which when the kids have there treats its tempting

I've stuck to my plan, had my walk, stuck to healthy eating all day but I did allow myself a little bit of chocolate tonight which I see as my BF reward!
Not sure I'll manage much of a walk tomorrow as the snow is coming down thick and fast. If I don't then I think I'll do some yoga at home instead.
Sorry you're finding it tough SM, I'm sure you'll get your motivation back soon!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0
