right ladies i'm back on it, have started slim fast today, i went trying on bras yesterday and the light in the changing room was NOT flattering in the least
the hardest bit is going to my nans, it doesnt matter how many times i say i'm on a diet/not eating junk she still wheels out the cake and accuses me of being anorexic or ungrateful if i dont eat it! anorexic? i'm a size 18 !!!!!! lol

anyway... i'm going to stick to my milkshakes, drink lots of water to try and keep me full and stick to my 3x100 calorie snacks and a healthy dinner. boring, but its so restrictive it will keep me well in check i hope :)

searching can you nudge me on the parent thread if i dont check in every day cos that will mean i've fallen off the wagon ;)

oh, and does anyone have any idea how to do roast potatoes that arent really bad for you? if thats even possible!!

  • Can you not roast them in the spray oil? Don't know if they'll be any better for you but apparantly the spray oil is low calorie. Do the slim fast milkshakes still taste as bad?! I used to be on the slim fast diet i gave up after a week coz i couldnt stomach the milkshakes any more lol x

i did the weigh-in yesterday. 13 stone (read ton-weight!), but i was heaveier than that before i was pregnant - so thats gotta be a good thing!!??
its 11.45 and i still have nt had breakfast - i just cant get into a routine, by the time i do christophers first feed, get katies breakfast into her, tidy up, empty dishwasher, put on washing, its almost lunchtime, then its time to get katie and christopher their lunch!!!!! im starving right now, and all i can think about is a nice sandwich.

i got a leaflet through the door about slimming world, with a £5 voucher off to join, anyone any experiences!??
thanks for the suggestions for lunch.

Paul McKenna is fab when I work at it. Like anything I am trying to change my bad eating habits of a lifetime. Under his system nothing is forbidden. If I want a KFC or something I can have it. Only condition is I have to be hungry for it, eat it slowly and savour every mouthful and stop when I am full. Following his system (and reading the book Beyond Chocolate which is sort of similar as in it's not a "diet") I have stopped most of my emotional eating eg stress, comfort, boredom etc but am struggling with being tired due to young kids and erratic sleeping issues at the moment. When I am flagging I go and eat which is mucking up my metabolism :(
Still can only hope all of this is a veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery short phase and I can my head together and have another go. It does work and I don't feel deprived in anyway - it's refreshing not to be thinking constantly about food which is what I do the minute I try WW or something. Food is no longer good or bad - it's just food and that's something I hadn't realised for a long time :D
