    Hi all,

My baby is five weeks old, so I've decided it's time to get on the weight-shifting wagon!

I don't own any scales, so I've no idea how much I weigh at the moment. When I got pregnant, I weighed just over 8 and a half stone. Two weeks before Caitlin was born, I had put on just over 2 stone, but that was the last time I weighed myself.

I'll have to weigh myself next time I go shopping or to my mum's. However much I weigh, I wouild like to get back to my 8 and a half stone and also lose my flabby tummy that I have gained.

I don't have a Wii so using that for exercise is out. I would like to walk every day for exercise so will try and do that (weather dependent) but not sure what else to do yet.

Given the age of you LO I'd stick to brisk walking. You shouldn't exercise before you've had your 6 week check up anyway and quite frankly at that stage with a newborn exercise was the LAST thing on my mind. It was all about sleep :o

    Morning all,

Well I’m STILL waiting to evict this lil lady, EDD came and went yesterday so I am officially peeded off and eating icecream and whatever I can lay my hands on but Im find it comforting so I think I’m allowed for now. :p

Bitsy – Any movement helps! You probably don’t realise just how much you’re doing but I think the little extra’s we do on top of the regular stuff makes it that bit more of a boost, a walk in the park, walking to the shops etc..

A good visualisation tip that always helped me and something I always think of when I follow a diet is what Rosemary Connelly says about gas hob burners. When your not exercising they burn on a constant low flame ..think of that as your normal metabolism…when you do that little bit more of exercise it turns up that little bit higher and so on. The longer you exercise the longer the flame stays up.

Hope your babys feeling better today

Fritha and Chopsticks – Good luck and Welcome

We are getting a Wii for xmas, can’t wait for it although we are already overrun with gaming systems. (We have 3 ps3’s!) me and OH are going to buy the fitness stuff for it as we feel so unfit. I use to run 6 miles most days until I got pregnant but I know I can’t fit it in with a baby due to me enjoying early morning runs 5am and my OH working nights. It just won’t be practical.

Wow this thread is really building up now – 40 !!!

SM - Any loss this week ? And 4 snack a jacks was it..dont be hard on yourself there is nothing in them! lol ..not like eating gauteux is it!

SW - I feel your pain. I went 13 days over with my first. Now that was just torture. Getting up everyday thinking "is today going to be the day" - lets just say patience is not a virtue of mine ;)
Sending lots of "baby out" vibes your way.
DD is much better. Seems to have been a 24 hour bug where she had raging temp. I think she's given my mum the bug as she looked after her Friday afternoon and has spent all of last night being sick! Oh dear - love my kids love their germs LOL!
Might walk up to Sainsbury's at some point today, pushing 2 kids, a double buggy and some shopping should get that gas burner going ;)

Well done SM - I wish I weighed that :(

Feel stressed and all I've wanted to do is eat today. Fed up. Need some positive thoughts.......
