mine was bitter. Overcooked, although it was very easy. We got to thinking about the sugar and teeth and so I`ve binned it. Could be lovely for the sweet-toothed but I am mindful of calories as well. My dh said that it was going to pull his fillings out0

I make rocky road ice cream. I use an ice cream maker that churns. Yoghurt, icing sugar and double or whipping cream-whipped. Add little marshmallows and chopped nuts. I sometimes add green and blacks choc spread and pistachios0

Not only is there the spilling issue but my local taxis won't let you in with food even if your kebab is completely wrapped up!!!!!Buffy_the_Vampire_Bat wrote: »I think if I invited someone to dinner and they turned up and said "hi, I made you some delicious homemade hokey pokey, but I ate most of it on the way here", I might respond with "hello, lovely to see you, I made a delicious dinner for us all but we got impatient and have just finished polishing it off...but we saved the washing up for you"
(And yes, I know it's all for TV, but hey
)
Oh and if I tried to drink/eat soup in a taxi I'd not only end up with it all over me, but all over the taxi and the taxi driver too

i made hokey pokey today. i followed the link to Recovering Spendaholic recipe.
And it has turned out gorgeous. it is very crispy and all bubbly in middle. and after chewing for a little bit it is just like toffee. taste just like the bag's u can buy. i'm mega impressed. totally bad for my figure. but as an easy quick treat. then ideal.
My husband is gonna love me forever. although thats if any left.0 -

bloody hokey pokey!!!!! just tried to make it 3 times and each one was a disaster- 1st one tasted burnt, 2nd one didn't froth up, third one turned out like a big splodge of sugar! so fed up now!0

Made two batches of it now, first one was a bit chewy (didn't boil it long enough) but second was perfectly crunchie!
:j
What I want to know though is how you stop it turning all sticky and gooey after a few hours if it's not all eaten straight away?
