Hi Hayley,
I just stumbled across your diary! The eye laser does sound scarey stuff! I saw Jessica Simpson have her's done on Newlywed's once...it made me feel sick watching it! But your right it would save you money on glasse's!
I really want to do mystery shopping, but the whole tax thing confuse's my little brain! Have you managed to do any yet??Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
Hey girlies,
I would've had eye surgery years ago if i had the guts, i'm just too scared of losing my sight, but its got to the stage now where i hate wearing glasses, i'm fed up of not being able to just buy any old pair of sunglasses and wear them, mine have to be prescription ones otherwise i can't see. I just want to wake up in the morning and not have to straight away put my glasses on. I saw that newleyweds episode Maria, she went with her mate i think i remember? I think watching that episode years ago made me want to get it done even more. It didn't look pretty i agree, but it will be totally worth every penny.
I was meant to do a mystery shop last week but wasn't able to do it, was gutted as they were paying £10 for 20 mins work. I did post something on the mystery shopping thread as like you i don't get the whole tax thing, not checked yet weather anyone replied or not - they prob get asked so many times!
I received an LG touch phone today, i entered a comp on the Orange website months ago, i had forgotten all about it, didn't think i'd win. I think i will keep the phone as its pretty decent, okay not the IPhone i so badly want, but i will send my current mob to mazumamobile and get £50 and use the LG one until i can afford the Iphone.
The amount of stuff i've found for my carboot, most of it is all brand new stuff, mostly bits from Boots i bought cheaply in sales, giftsets, and giftsets from The Body Shop, and its been under my bed for years. I always forget about it at Christmas and just buy more stuff.
Must get on and make some dinner, OH will be home from work soon!

Forgot to mention, i bought a curling tong today. My sister curled my hair at the weekend using her herstyler curler i got her for christmas. She kept seeing them in Bluewater on a stall for £100, but after speaking to the money saving sensible sister (me) i had a little looksy online to see how much they sold for, and you can you believe you can buy them from Amazon for £40. How they get away with selling them for £60 more than they're worth i don't know. Anyways, she curled my hair and it turned out great, looked really good. So, today, i went out and bought a babyliss curler for half the price, just tested it out quickly and its brilliant - great for £19.99.The very best things in life ... are free!

Well done on the phone! That is great you can make some money on the old phone as well.
That sounds like some good carboot stuff. People might want to get those gift sets etc for people for xmas presents.0 -
OMG! Well done on the win! How lucky! I-phones are over rated anyway! lol,my OH got one a couple of months back, ok there good for games and net but there 2 mp camera! pha! hehe! But saying that ive got my eye on the new n97 in white, but im not going to get it!
Sounds like you have lots of nice things for boot sale! And the curlers sound cool, i never got the hang of curling with my GHD's!Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
Cheers girls. I was going to sell the phone as OH said LG are rubbish, but its different to my Nokia 6500, so i'm going to keep it and get rid of the boring Nokia. A like a change.
Me neither Maria. I got the CD with my GHD's, but i still couldn't get the hang of it. The curlers are so much easier to use, it also came with a glove so you don't burn your hand. They know me to well, i'm forever burning myself with the ghd's :rolleyes:The very best things in life ... are free!

Evening!!!
My OH and I reserved a VIP slot on the Next sale for tonight, but we went out for the eve and forgot all about it. Just booked another for tomorrow eve now. I believe the sale starts on Saturday, so hopefully i can pick up some cheap bits for my holiday in November, mostly on the look out for beach dresses.
I've been looking at Mini coopers, i know i know, i should wait, but my car is just doing my head in, its sooo slow. I love fast cars, and getting in my car after being in my OH's its horrible. I've done a few insurance quotes and it'll cost around £1,100, which isn't that much more than the £600 i forked out for my KA insurance. I'm going to keep an eye on Autotrader, just in case i see any bargains :rotfl: seen a really really nice black one!
Might do the survey now which has been sitting in my inbox for a couple of days! The very best things in life ... are free!

OMG Hayley! Would you really part with £1,100 for car insurance!! Ekkk!
My first car was a crappy vauxhall nova! pmsl, oh dear. It was a 1.2 but i stuck with it 2 years as even that cost me £800! insurance but i was 18 at the time. lol
How do you get the VIP slots for Next?? Whenever i go to there sales im too late and theres always just a load of rubbish left in huge sizes. Hope you get some nice bargins in there for you hols.Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
I would for a Mini Maria - i know i must be mad! I'm hoping the insurance will go down after a years no claims, i hope anyway! Only got 10 more months to wait..., i wonder if i can hold out until then!
If you have an account with Next you get invited to VIP slots. My OH has an account with them so we get to pick a time which suits us and browse and order the stuff before the sale goes live tomorrow morning. Unfortunately my OH and I were out again so missed our slot, so we won't be able to get another now! oh well! We don't go to Mexico until November so I'm hoping to pick up lots of lovely summer bits from ebay for cheap.
Just rented out 4 dvds from Blockbusters for £10. We've just watched one, but the others are girly ones so I'm going to watch them tomorrow whilst OH is at work, Confessions of a Shopaholic, New in Town & He's Just Not That Into You!The very best things in life ... are free!
