Time for a wee update of the diary i think :D

No progress on saving for the new smile, so far i have managed to save a big fat nothing, i must try harder.

However, i am planning on having a proper sort out tomorrow and hopefully i will be doing a bootsale on Sunday. Unfortunately my OH is working, and my sis who was going to do it with me is not free, so it looks like i may have to do it alone, or wait 3 weeks to do it with OH

My OH and I booked our weekend away yesterday. We were hoping to go to Rome for 3 nights, but because we have left it until two weeks before we are due to go, all the good deals had gone, and all the flights involved stops, and we didn't fancy a 9hr trip to Rome, when it should only really be 2hrs on a direct flight, it will just eat into our time there, and i will be too tired to want to do anything. So instead, we are off to Madrid for 3 nights on the 24th July :j Rome was going to cost us around £380 staying in a okay'ish 3 star hotel, but in Madrid we are staying in a very nice 5* hotel, flying with BA, and all for £215 each, what a bargain i thought. Its around 37 degrees there, so i need to get some more summer bits before we go, so looking at cheap bits on ebay.

I've been a bit slack in the moving saving department lately, so i am going to list all the things i need to start up again that i had forgotten about for so long:
    • One Poll - only on £11.25 so may take a while to reach payout, but it will be worth it in the end
    • Quidco - need to look out for offers.
    • Mystery Shopping - was meant to do one yesterday but unfortunately couldn't make it.
    • Free scratchies - upto £13.40 on butlins but want to reach £30 before withdrawing.
    • Bootsales.
    • Ebay.

    I best crack on........:j

Just watching Sex and the City on Sky, love this film. I love fashion, i wish i had really close friends like the SATC girlies. OH is at work, so its a night of girly films whilst catching up on here with the lappy.

I am hopefully starting up kickboxing again next week, i need to get out more, and hopefully meet new people. I used to kickbox 3 nights a week a couple of years back, so really keen to get back into it. Plus, i want to get toned for our friends wedding in Mexico in November.

Forgot to say, i did do something money saving today, usually i buy our travel books, i can never go away without doing my research, so today instead of buying books from the shops, i went to the library and got out 2 Madrid books. Check me out, i was also on the hunt for the new Sophie Kinsella book, Twenties Girl, but no luck, i will just keep trying.

Not managed to do a lot today. I'm around my parents house at the mo sorting out lots of old stuff of mine i'm hopefully going to carboot. I think i'm going to do a carboot next Sunday now, the weather isn't looking good and I could really do without getting up at 5.30 am tomorrow, especially because i did that last weekend when we went to the Renault World series.

I have lots of stuff to sell next weekend, so fingers crossed it will turn out worth while.

Just off to do scratch cards, and also check onepoll.

Well.., I sorted all my stuff, and i have loads of stuff to sell, so seeing as the cars full, i may as well do a bootsale tomorrow - weather permitting. I'd rather not have to do one alone, but its extra money (hopefully) so i'll give it a go.

Not much planned for this eve, i borrowed Bride Wars from my sis so going to watch that soon with a nice glass of vino. I was going to rent it out but then remembered she had it so saved myself £3.99 :j every penny helps!

Done scratchies today, just need to check onepoll now for boring surveys, which i just randomly answer because i find them soooo boring! I wish i could look at the results from all the surveys, i'd be a right odd person.

I have just heard the weather and tomorrows car boot is a def no no. Its going to be very heavy rain in the early morning, and it won't clear till around 11am, so thats a bit late. Fingers crossed next weekend is lovely and sunny.

Tomorrow will be spend moving all my carboot stuff from the car to the spare room. I HATE clutter, so it needs to be gone next weekend.

Just finished watching Bride Wars, it was really good. I now want to get married and plan my wedding day. Unfortunately i need to get engaged first lol.

Always the way, i wake up and its lovely sunshine, now i wished i had done the car boot, would have saved me moving all the stuff back to the spare room later.

Right, need to get myself motivated and organised. Todays plan of action is to:
    • Do free scratchies
    • Sort all carboot stuff for next Sunday now
    • Look into ways to make extra money
    • Have a NSD
    • Look how much my 3 month old macbook would sell for on ebay. I'm hoping around £600+ as i bought it for £725

I mentioned above that i want to sell my laptop. Its a really fancy laptop, but all i use it for is to surf the web, and do uni work on word. Why do i need such a fancy laptop for that? I love macs, but i could easily pick up a cheap one for £200 and it will work just as well. The reason i want to sell is lately i have wanted laser eye surgery more and more. The reason being is because i am due to buy a new pair of glasses, which will cost £200+ and i would like some really nice sunglasses, but because they have to be prescription they are going to cost me £250  so total cost for both is around £500. Laser eye surgery is around £1,500, and that will last for years and years, compared to forking out £500 every year for new glasses. So, in the long run, i am going to save myself money - very MSE :D and the biggest plus, i won't have to wear horrible glasses anymore :j:j:j:j:j:j:j

    Hi!

As promised I said I would pop in and read the diary. Sounds like a well worth while thing to save for. One day I would like to srt my teeth out, they are not bad but some are crooked etc, would be nice to be really confident so can definitely see why you want to do this.

You sound like you are getting focused on starting to make some money so I am sure you will get there.

The long weekend in Madrid sounds lovely! Great price as well.

Anyway will come and check up on your progress xx
