I really like it, the picture is better on all tv programs a little, the HD is good. 5.1 sound system is so much better than sky +.
New tv guide is really good. Love the search.Kind Regards

New tv guide is really good.
BTW - I don't think the HD picture I get on a few channels is better enough to be worth the extra £10 a month, compared with what my daughter gets with the old Sky+ box upstairs. You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0 -
If anyone works for a company that receives partner offers with Sky through the www.theskyteam.co.uk website, then keep an eye out over the next few weeks.
My wife works for M&S, and unfortuantly we missed out on a great offer of £49 sky HD+ and free install, but what was most amazing was half price on sky world + HD channels for 12 months (coming in at £28).
This offer ended on 31st July, but the M&S Extras website (Staff only) has a new scrolling icon for a "new offer" soon.
I understand this doesn't help the majority of users, but based on their previous offers, these are normally styled on the current packages/deals with larger long term discounts. How much more do I need to spend make myself a "Money Savings Expert"

Would I be able to order the box, get it installed and try it for say 30 day, like a cooling off period?
Or would it be a 12 month contract whether or not I could tell the difference or not?0 -
Please can you e-mail me the link?0

Phoned last week and was offered either Sky+ for £29 with free installation, or SkyHD for £49 with free install. I decided to discuss it with my son so the agent added it to my account details so I could phone back.
On Sunday we added Sky Sports at half price for 3 months as my son wanted to watch the tennis.
Tonight I phoned back to ask about the £49 HD. I'd to go via cancellations again. The offer had disappeared from the system, but was replaced with free box and £30 install. I grabbed it quickly before it too disappeared
It's being installed on Saturday afternoon, just in time for the Scotland match on Saturday, I hope.0 -

phoned Sky tonight having read this thread and others, after getting HD. We already had Sky+ and the "six mix" with "dual sports" as well as Everyday broadband. I said I'd seen the free offer for new customers but also was thinking of going down the freesat route or even Virgin (a lie!). They offered me free installtion + £29 Sky HD box straight away (£9.75/mo extra HD sub of course). I asked about switching to SkyTalk (we're with BT) and they said right away they'd give us 12 months free line rental (£11/mo saving on Sky rates, £12.50/mo saving on BT rates) - so this has more than paid for the extra HD sub. In addition they said that the move to Sky Talk brings our broadband down by £5/month! After a bit of haggling, when the guy finally started to put the order thru he also agreed to give us the brand new HD box for nothing. Result! Not sure if this was cancellations dept, though I did press 5 and 1 when I got thru to Cust Services but at no point said I was thinking of cancelling....0
