2 litres of water is the recommended amount but I think water in tea and coffee counts as part of that, though not so healthy! hope you've got a strong bladder or a loo nearby!:beer:0

Hi All,
Do you mind if I join you? I've started sw since monday although I did it for a while last year too but not had great success sticking to it. I need to loose 5.5lb in 2 weeks I have just over a week to go, that's my personal target seen as I only just started I think it's possible to loose more in first 2 weeks.
All together I have 4 stone to loose and I'm hoping with your help and encouragment and someone to keep me occupied I will get there. I'm sharl, 29 3 kids 8-6-18months and a partner. I'm a stay at home mum and It's quite lonely here I have to say. Most days I'm bored out of my tree with only the mudain cleaning cooking and general dogs body routine to look forward to and i've decided to get off my bum and go walking.
Look forward to getting to know you all.

Hi Sharl - You are very welcome to the thread and to MSE.
Try to set yourself achievable targets then when you reach them you get that great achievement "rush". Don't set them too high as if you fail you will feel worse and are more likely to slip into old habits. Saying that 5.5lb in 2 weeks is achievable. Are you going to SW class or doing it yourself at home? The password for the SW online site is posted on here weekly - in fact one of our group - Cheekymole - has it in her signature so its easy to find.
Why not use your time at home to experiment with lots of new recipes - you can often pick up SW recipe books on ebay for very little - or you can get some off the website or make up your own. OVer on the old style board we have a recipe collection - you will find the link to it in the very first post on this thread. Good luck - keep posting!
EDIT to add link to recipes - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=1948340&postcount=3
Daisykate - I'm sure its 2 litres of water a day so why not fill up a glass in with water and then measure in a measuring jug so you will be able to calculate how much you are drinking at a time and take it from there?
Have a good day everyone! I'm to be a football widow this afternoon - happy days!!0 -
Hi Honey,
Thanks for the warm welcome. I have been lurking for some time usually come to get the password have been since before this new thread was started. I just found it a bit difficult to get my head round posting it kept messing up my signing in so haven't bothered to sort it until now. I am serious about wanting to loose weight and I would like to do it before i'm 30 in jan 2007 lol
Recipes I will deffinately check out because im bored with eating same old same old.
Thx hun.

Hi Sharl and a BIG
from me too.
Setting yourself targets (as you've done) is great and I think if you stick to the plan and be good to yourself you will be able to achieve your final target before you're 30.
Post when you're finding it tough going or when you're happy and can cheer others on and up. GOOD LUCKI haven't got one!0 -
Daisy, I love your smiley, that's just me all over...I haven't got one!0
