The more the merrier, I converted my husband 3 years ago after he watched a programme on how they inject chickens with water!
Brought DD up as veggie since birth - she'll probably rebel when she's older!I haven't got one!0 -
Got weighed today and for the second week I've stayed the same. I'm really upset, feel a total failure and just can't believe it.
This always seems to happen to me. I get an initial good weight loss then nothing.
I'm trying to stay positive but feel really upset.
The plan for this week is to write down everything I eat. Go for a long walk 2/3 times and try really hard.
Any other suggestions for the lack of weight loss would be really welcome. I'm doing SW.
Tomorrow I paln to have scrambled egg for breakfast. Cous cous with tom & cucumber for lunch and jacket potato with quorn chilli for dinner.
What does everyone think?
I do have an apple as a mid morning snack and a couple of plums mid afternoon.
I really need some help please.0 -
bobsa,
don't be disheartened, it happens to us all although I'm slightly concerned about your meal plan for tomorrow. I am assuming you are having a green day? It's a great meal plan but there are no "a" or "b" sections involved. It is very important to have these as this is where you get your daily requirements.
You could have 3 slices of wholemeal nimble bread with your eggs for a "b"
42g of half fat cheese with your jacket spud and chilli as an "a"
and some kind of ryvitas with your couscous for lunch
But you MUST have the healthy extrasI haven't got one!0 -

Whey is not part of a cow's stomach!!! it is a by product of the cheesemaking process.
The trouble is I think lots of you will struggle because you are obsessing about food, so even though you are teking positive steps with healthy eating and so on you seem to be thinking about food rather too much, which will often lead to blowing the diet or feeling bad about it.
Maybe get another obsession such as walking instead of catching the bus, going to the gym, vigorous housework, going for a run or a brisk walk, doing voluntary work, decorating the house...then you may be too busy (and active) to need to obsess about food!Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

Hi Bobsa,
As CheekyMole says, a & b choices are vital, and they keep life a bit more interesting!! I find that if I try to eat much less than my appetite says then I just dont lose weight, it's weird. I tend to graze on fruit during the day, lots of strawberries and grapes, and make sure that I have toast or crunch bran cereal for breakfast to get my metabolism really going. If I was adding to your food plan for tomorrow I would add 2 slices of w'meal 400g loaf toast to the scrambled egg,and a bit of flora (2 syns), I would add some grilled chicken to the cous cous and leave the dinner the same. I have milk in my breakfast and my coffee as one a) choice, perhaps you could have some grated cheese on your jacket spud as well? Oooh, I am really hungry now!!
That's still a very low syn day, and at that rate your metabolism will continue at normal pace rather than panic storiung your fat as it thinks you are fasting!! :-)
Hope this helps and good luck this week!Misguided maybe, but never really bad!! :A0 -

Hi Sarah, thanks for your input. I think a lot of people on here are new joiners and just trying to get to rips with what they can and can't eat.
I'm sure after a few weeks they'll be more comfortable with whichever plan they are following and be less obsessive (as you put it!)
And most of us do exercise (honest!)I haven't got one!0
