Hello im new to all this but reading through your posts it seems like your a very kind and supportive bunch, ive just joined slimming world on Tuesday and i was wondering if anybody knows of any quick sin free ready meals or anything, ive got a 14 week old baby and a 3yr old son and by the time i have them both and bathed ready for bed i barely have time to cook, so it would be handy if i had the odd quick and easy meal in!! x0

And I had another thought, which was to get the kids involved in helping cook. They're young enough not to argue about it too much (with luck!) but old enough to be able to be helpful. OK, the youngest may not be safe with a sharp knife, but get a few extra veg peelers and sit everyone down to do any veg. The youngest may only peel one potato to your 6, but with four children going at it preparation shouldn't take any longer than with just you doing it, PLUS you get to spend time with them, PLUS eventually you should be able to sit down with a cuppa while they do all the work - which is what my youngest reckons happens round here anyway! :rotfl: - PLUS if they've prepared the veg they may be willing to try it!SamMoffatt28 wrote:I hate cooking because I am always so busy and it takes so much time to prepare everything although I do try and make pasta sometimes. I usually get stuff I can just throw in the oven and leave. If hubby cooks, being an ex chef he has to put butter or milk in everything which drives me loopy!! Hence the fact that I've put on over a stone and a half since I moved in with him 4 years ago.
Or if you don't have a dishwasher (I don't) then get one child washing, one wiping, and the other two helping with the food.
Might need a bit of re-negotiation, but I reckon busy mums need to rope their kids in earlier rather than later!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
