    Hi Guys,

Not had a good week considering it's my first. But I can only go down in weight from here (maybe). These bank holidays do it for me, they are fatal as I find it a good excuse to eat and drink.

Anyway weighed myself this morning and I've put a 1lb ON!

I can't seem to get into the SW at the moment and will have to try harder.

Hi Sue you can go into the SW online and register and do all sorts in terms of logging your weight and progress and you can do online food diaries as well but I'm not the right one to advise you this week as I didn't lose anything!!

You need the password which is Strawberry and that will get you into everything you need. Good Luck.

Well done iseethestrals, that will be a whole size down when you do the 7lb.

    Keep up the good work.

    Hi all,
I keep popping over onto this board for some motivation but I just can't do it. I really want to be a dress size smaller (am size 14 want to be a 12) but I just can't seem to find any motivation at all. The trouble is that hubby will not eat anything low fat and on top of that he's a complete food snob - (will only eat expensive brand names and is very particular about what he will eat). My children are 12, 10, 8 and 4 and the younger 3 at least will not eat any kind of vegetables at all, although I always make sure they have some fruit to take to school with them. The point is that I will have to cook seperate meals for me and the rest of them. Hubby was off work Thurs,Fri,Sat,Sun,Mon and we went to McDonalds at least 3 times during that time which I know is bad but sometimes when you are busy (been decorating as well) its just easier to buy takeouts instead of cook. Guess I shouldn't justify it coz it only makes it worse. (Let me just add that the kids only had McDonalds once and that was a rare treat for them!) I hate cooking because I am always so busy and it takes so much time to prepare everything although I do try and make pasta sometimes. I usually get stuff I can just throw in the oven and leave. If hubby cooks, being an ex chef he has to put butter or milk in everything which drives me loopy!! Hence the fact that I've put on over a stone and a half since I moved in with him 4 years ago.

What I really want to know is how does everyone else manage?? I am still regularly going to the gym as it makes me feel better and also gives me a break! But as I'm still eating the same things I'm not really losing any weight although I am getting a bit more toned. I'm feeling a bit low this week - probably because of all the junk food I've eaten over the weekend, not to mention how much chocolate I've stuffed as well. I guess I'm in one of those never ending circles, I eat chocolate coz I feel lousy then I feel lousy coz I've eaten a load of junk!

I guess I could do with some good advice to get me going please. If anyone has any inspirational ideas for me I would be so grateful.

    Thanks for 'listening'

    Hi

Hubbie has been told by Dr that he needs to lose at least 1 stone in the next 3 mths, I have told him that this is doable as only 1 lb a week.

But I could do with losing some too, It`s ok saying that it is doable but last time I was deiting, I lost a 1lb one week put 2 on the week after etc and after 6 mths weighed about the same as when I started.

Slimmling clubs are out-time and money issue. Cant afford to spoend £5 a week being told what to eat-will need that money to buy smaller clothes!!!!!!!!

So I am happy to support him, will not be buying anymore biscuits, and that lovely fruit cobbler will be a thing of the past.

He has a manual job, but needs to eat main meal in the evenings, does not drink much, a few pints a week if that. We do treat ourselves to a takeaway once a week, normally a curry- I know that will have to stop.

Any ideas on where to start?
We do have 2 boys 7 and 4 and I like us to eat the same.

    Thanks

    Hi Swizzle,
Just cutting out crisps/biscuits etc will probably lose you and OH a pound a week. Also, bread isn't good, cut that out.
If you can follow SW using the online site (password-strawberry) it's dead easy and it works. I've lost on average 2lb/week since January and never feel hungry. You can eat loads of pasta/rice/potatoes/veg on green days and loads of meat on red days - I stick to green being veggie.

Any questions just ask but it is really easy to follow and your boys can eat the same

It seems I have only lost 1lb in the last two weeks, thats not too bad i guess as I had a heavy weekend drinking last weekend and a few moments of weaknesses!! :o

Does anyone have the recipe book for syn free green cooking? I just wondered if it was any good??

Good luck everyone for your loses & continued efforts this week! :D
