Mixed results this week then. My weigh in is tonight and i hope i haven't totally messed things up.

LilacLillie - I hope you get answers from your doctor but agree with Honey about making a food diary and writing down the size and syns of EVERYTHING that passes your lips and then going back to basics and comparing it to your SW book properly. Maybe the SW diet just doesn't work with your metabolism (i'm in no position to know why though) - have you tried counting calories? Hope you've cheered up - you're doing everything right so don't punish yourself. This'll get figured out eventually.

    Happy holidays Honey!

Weigh in for me tonight too but the sneak preview that I had on the scales last night is that I have deservedly put on those pounds I shifted the last couple of weeks... Its a crappy place to be as I know I worked so darn hard to shift the weight in the first place and a weekend of over indulgance has shoved me back where I started but I guess thats a lesson learnt.... :(

LilacLillie - Dont worry too much about the additional weight, its not going to help if you worry so like the others say just keep relaxed, write everything down and have a chat with your doc, is it the time of the month hun? Or do you feel bloated at all like you have water retention? Keep us updated --- big hugs --- xx

Good luck tonight JenIttels!! Can't believe you ate chocolate and still lost weight Lyndsay_21.................

I have been keeping a diary of what I eat, and when I eat it, for over 2yrs. I'm getting OCD about writing everything down in my life.
I already have to keep details daily of what times I take pills, have migraines (almost daily) and what may be triggering them, blood pressure when the headaches occur etc:
I must admit for the first time in ages I'm feeling really low, after 6wks of staying positive.
Last year I joined a pilot scheme at the local hospital, for weight loss.
They guaranteed weight loss through their plan of healthy eating and exercise, over an 8wk trial period.
They gave us all personal plans and stepometers. We progressed each week to more exercise, less calories and a 'buddy' system.
At the end of the 8wks, we were again weighed and I'd lost 1 1/2 lbs! Not even 2lb :(
I was so happy during the project thinking I was getting slimmer. I didn't have scales at home, so when we had that final weigh in I almost died!
Only 1 other person didn't lose but she said she hadn't followed the plan. Most lost an average of 7-10lbs, with little or no effort.
Its going to be a long wait till next Monday, I'm away in Cardiff this weekend. I'm not even going to get to see my own doctor, she's not available till June!!!
Thankyou all for the advice and mostly the support..............it really is keeping me going.

Oh LLillie - that is sad to hear. As if keeping to a diet plan isn't hard enough!
Try not to worry about it and enjoy your weekend - I hope you have a sympathetic doctor on monday.

All of my chubby fingers will be crossed for you to get this fixed. :D

Hello LL!!! Sorry to hear about your diet frustrations!! Could you have an underactive thyroid? Have you been tested for it? I have one (but had it since birth) although it still slows down my metabolism despite being on medication, so it makes weightloss really hard to tackle. I have been there so know how you feel when you have tried your darned hardest but it just wont move.

I would be more concerned about your migraines & general health?

Perhaps set out a diet plan full of "superfoods", 2 litres of water a day, nuts & seeds, oily fish etc etc - eating a balanced diet will improve your health & wellbeing (state of mind too!!), so it is good for you regardless of whether you are losing weight or not - just try to look at it like that - and eventually the weight will come off!!

Did you find that when you were feeling "thinner" you felt good about yourself? I think this feeling is more important that losing lbs on the scales, losing inches is better, and if you feel thinner then you must be doing something right?

Ooops, sorry to have rambled on!!

Have a good weekend hun. xx

Honey can you change the link in the first thread to the one below...

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=180748

as the one in your thread doesn't seem to work?? :D

Also, does anyone know any more 'free' recipes for slimming world? I had the SW mag and they had one in there for Syn Free lasagne? Also thought I had seen a syn free veggie curry but not sure? Veggie Chilli? Any other veggie SW recipes appreciated!! :T

Just off to weigh in and then cook dinner! Will see how good I have been before I decide what to eat - LOL as all I have had is a 98% fat free supernoodle today! :)

Just weighed myself and it seems I actually lost 1lb!! It seems it does no good to do a sneaky weigh in at midnight the day before you are supposed to!! I am fairly pleased cos it means that I did well the rest of the week and that the stuffing easter eggs episode was duly rewarded (I think I would have lost 3lb or so if I hadnt stuffed eggs....)

Now I have to worry about the weigh in next week when the chocolate will have made its way to my hips good and proper! Will have to look at that super-synfree diet, has any other veggies tried this?? :D

Unbelivable. I just wrote a reply here but when i went to post it my work firewall blocked it (it has weird restrictions on uploads and my post was a bit of an essay!).

Dang. I'll give you the gist of it. Lost 2lbs this week! Hurrah but very surprised.

Rachie: Have you tried using the SW site for recipes?
Go to 'Eat and Slim' , then bottom right use the recipe search for keywords such as masala, curry, chilli, sauce etc
There are some good recipes there which you can adapt with quorn.
For lasagne i tend to make it out of quorn mince, tomatoes etc and then use a milk/cornflour mixture for the white sauce. You can possibly use the milk as a healthy extra but the cornflour contains syns. Or skip the white sauce and you'll have yourself a free recipe. I'm sure other people here have some more lasagne ideas (as i've asked in the past) so it's worth experimenting.

    good eating all.
