    Hiya.

I have been good. Finally made it back to the gym yesterday - and did an 1hr workout - and also went this morning before work (45 mins)..

I desperately want to lose weight for Oz (I know I'll lose it when I'm out there, but want to lose a bit/a lot before I go), and since I only have 15 weeks left I really should get a wriggle on!!

I am interested in doing Slimming World - dont really know much about it as I have always followed WW in the past - even the website doesnt explain the difference between red & green days. Confused!!

Unfortunately I have to go to the gym quite a bit to see any difference & cant lose weight without exercising (unlike some people - my sister for example!!) - but I do enjoy it.

I have a night out on Sat & then I think I might cut out the booze completely (although I rarely go out so its not a problem), just want a total healthkick!!

Excited that I only have 15 weeks left (13 at work) - but it still isnt motivating me as much as it should to stop eating junk!!

If anyone can shed some light on the Slimming World thing it would be great :0)

Thanks & keep up the good work - you are all doing so well!!

    xx

I do WW but used to do SW
    green days are pasta,potatoes rice
red days are lean meat and fish
both days veg and fruit are free
then you have your A and B boxes which can be used for bread, cereal and milk
    sins between 5-15 daily

I think i have remembered it correctly if not im sure someone doing SW will be able to help more
  • Hi everyone, I hope you all survived Easter without too much guilt trips

It's so hard having all this chocolate around - I have a dozen creme eggs in my fridge that people have given me and just can't quite bring myself to throw them away. I'm determined to stick at this SW thing though - have put on a stone over the last year and want to see it come off again so much!!

I've heard a bit about something called Success Express. Does anyone know what this is? Is it supposed to be more effective than normal SW? How long are you supposed to do it for?

    Any help welcome! :)

I came home last night, but was to depressed to post.
Went away and watched everyone eating all weekend. One day I had no choice but to go in a McD's with a group.......................and ate salad without dressing!
Had salad that night also. Not a piece of chocolate passed my lips till 11pm last night (then ate 4 celebrations) out of dispair.
Had dessert on 2 nights, tiny piece of cake both times. Walked for miles more than usual and felt good.
Weighed myself and have put on 6lb of the 7lbs that I'd lost over 6 weeks. Cried a lot and have been trying to get an appointment with my doctor all day.
Have stuck to green day today and am trying to stay positive....................but something is very, very wrong here.
I'm losing it (not the willpower) my motivation. I have no idea or have any reason why a person should not lose weight, other than they are eating to much or the wrong things. Both of these I am not doing, so what's going on????
Back to ringing the surgery again.
Well done to everyone that did well over Easter. If I didn't have this board I'd go nuts!!!!

Oh Lilac Lillie (((((((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))))) to you. I know its so easy for me to say this but try not to be too down. There must be an answer, do go to see your doctor. Is there any chance you may be pregnant? Are there thyroid problems anywhere in your family - this could be the culprit? Its soo frustrating when you try so hard, only for it to backfire. I'm not really sure what else to say that will make you feel better but I know exactly how you must be feeling and I want you to know that I'm thinking of you - I'm sure we all are. In the meantime while you are waiting for your appointment why don't you make a food diary of what you are eating - take this with you to your doctor - maybe you have a food intolerance to something and it is causing this  Weigh yourself before you go and then you can advise your doctor on your weight today, your weight on Monday and what you have eaten in between. Good Luck to you.

I'm off on holiday early in the morning and I may not get a chance to get back on before I come back but I will be thinking if you on Monday - lets hope you get some answers. I'm glad you are still motivated - it would be too easy to give up and you must be a fighter.

I've pigged out all over Easter, I deserve to have put weight on. But hey ho, thats my fault.

Ms_London - SW - have you tried loggin onto the members area of SW website - you may get more answers there. I think the Password is posted a few threads back.
    Basically its like this
Green Days - unlimited pasta, rice, potatoes, vegetables, quorn, fruit
Red Days - unlimited meat, chicken, fish, veg (excluding potatoes, peas, parsnips, sweetcorn(?), fruit

on each day you are allowed 2 healthy extras from SetA and SetB - one will include milk, cheese, the other (B) will include Bread, Pasta/rice - if on a red day, or meat/fish/chicken if on a green day. Healthy extra portions are measurable, free foods are unlimited.

To make it (somewhat!) easy here's an example

Red Day - spaghetti bolognese - have unlimited meat/sauce (if made with free foods - tin tomatoes etc) and have limited portion of spaghetti
Green Day - have as much spaghetti as you want and a limited amount of bolognese

Clear as Mud :rotfl: :rotfl: :confused:

Hi. I dont know if this will help anyone on this forum but here is a fascinating site - I cant do a link - https://www.waisays.com. If you have the time to read it through it makes perfect sense. I have been following the diet to about 80% for the last week and have felt the improvements and 'lightness' in myself. It might take a lot of willpower for some but then any diet requires that to achieve success.
