Are you talking about the lemon chickpea cake? If so, it's 1/2 syn on a green day for the whole cake
    I haven't got one!
  • Hey everyone!

Just made a minor discovery in Sainsbury's: their own-brand sugar-free toffees are only about 1 syn each - I used the SW online calculator to work out that the 100g bag is 15 syns (on green or original) - and there were 14 toffees in my bag.

They're nice too! :p Handy for sweet emergencies!

Now all I have to do is hide them somewhere where I won't pick at them... maybe in the car?!

Well done Honey on your stone...............and happy hols to you and cheekymole and anyone else who's going away.

OMG - I don't know what was wrong with me yesterday but I'm focused today. Hopefully I will be all day :)

The sun is out, there's blossom on the trees and I know it won't be too long before everyone will be walking about with pretty tops and dresses that I won't be able to wear unless I'm sensible with the diet. It's either that or hide myself away all summer......................and I'm NOT doing that again this year!!!!!!!

Got lucky yesterday with the meeting's lunch. They supplied some cut up veg and dips (i avoided the dips) as well as a small fruit selection. I did help myself to sarnie unfortunately which'll cost me some syns but managed to resist the biscuits they supplied with the coffee. Not too bad all in being that the meeting was very long and slow and eating the biscuits was very tempting. Didn't even need to chow down the apples i had in my bag!

Cheekymole - i thought the cake was a few more than just 1/2 syn. I can't remember how many but the lemon curd and the baking powder both have syn values (although the cake is still very few syns for a lot of yumminess!).

    Edited to add:
Lemon curd, 1 level tsp = 1/2 syn (I tend to assume that 1 tablespoon = 3 tsp)
Baking powder, 1 level tsp = 1/2 syn

So a total of 3.5 syns for the whole cake?

and if you haven't already used them, you can always deduct the bread as a healthy extra ;)

Jeni, you're right but the recipe I'm looking at doesn't have the lemon curd as ingredients as you can make it without. So without lemon curd it is 1/2 syn on green and with lemon curd about 2 syns on green.

Hope that clarifies things and sorry for the confusion :o
