Cats_pajamas wrote:Hello all,
Im so happy to have found you. I have been with slimming world for about a year and lost 2.5 stone so am delighted but have been losing motivation since christmas and find their own website a little bit uninspiring after all this time.
Looking at your stories and ideas feels like good medicine!!!
I started with losing weight, then stopped smoking and then decided to swap my interest in ebay for this site to sort out my money. It is nice to feel like I am getting back control of my life. I have to admit this is my birthday weekend and I have had a bit of a blow out but hey...bite me

I am so impressed with how much you have tackled in such a short space of time. This site is great. It will save you lots of money and probably change your whole life style.0 -

Thank you for the welcome and encouragement. Your weight loss has been really fast -well done.0 -
Thanks squeeky for the recipe thread, it really is becoming much needed.
I have just weighed myself and once again haven't lost any weight. If it wasn't happening to me, I wouldn't believe it.
I'm so dissapointed. I've stuck to the plan, studied the diet a bit more, been exercising daily and have gone without so much that I used to eat. Probably double what I eat now and all the naughty chocs biscuits and anything else basically that I wanted to eat and I wasn't putting weight on then, staying the same just as i am now
I've just put my weight on my progress chart and calculated at this rate it'll take another 20yrs to lose this 3st 11lbs!
I did measure myself 2 wks ago, after reading it on here and have lost 7 1/4 inches total from my body, but even that isn't good enough, I need to lose WEIGHT!!!!!
I'm going away for the Easter weekend to a hotel in Chester. The following weekend I'm on a conference in Cardiff, the weekend after Paris...............then the summer kicks off big time. So I really had hoped to have lost at least a bit of weight to inspire me for the busy time coming up. Today I feel like carrying on eating as I used to, what I want when I want, at least it'll be quicker and I really had stopped at the same weight for about 4 yrs. I've only had cereal this morning but am not hungry at the mo, to upset to be.

Oh LilacLillie, don't give up and don't be sad.
Can I ask what kind of exercise you are doing as sometimes this has an effect on weight loss.
So you're coming to Chester, do I need to tell them to lock their doors!!!!??????
I'm confused with each persons plan now, which one are you on/following?
Chin up, it WILL happenI haven't got one!0 -

Cheeky mole, can I ask what kind of exercise is most effective for losing weight?
I've been going to the gym 5/6 times a week for over a year, healthy eating etc and no weight loss! Don't know what i'm doing wrong - i usually spend most of my gym time on the cross trainer...0 -
Thanks cheekymole. I'm feeling really sorry for myself today, especially when I saw the progress chart
I'm following SW online. I've only ever been on a diet once before and it was with them and I did lose the 4 st that I've since put back on . The first week (back then), I lost 10lb and thereafter it dropped off. So I was expecting it to happen again. Maybe its age and hormones nowadays??
The execise I'm doing is 15mins approx a day on each of trampoline, exercise bike and a twisting thingy that you stand on and move your lower body. Although I have all the equipment anyone could ever need for a complete gym in the spare room!
I don't know about locking the doors................more like lock up the fridge and food cupboards
If I'd only lost a 1lb this week I would have been feeling ok, but to keep staying the same is really getting to me now. I think this is my 6th week today. Just eaten a fruit salad and a vanilla muller................are they great or what????

I mentioned last week that if you buy Quorn regulary, you can claim back money vouchers.
Sent my till receipts last week and this morning got back 3 x£1 vouchers off my next purchases.
The letter also states there is no limit on how many vouchers you can get, as long as you send proof of purchase for 6 products in one calandar month.

Hi Gembo,
Going to the gym with only change any fat (not saying you've got any) into muscle. If you want to lose weight, it is better to eat healthy and maybe walk, swim, cycle for a while (building this up gradually) and then once you are at the ideal weight, go to a gym to tone up.I haven't got one!0 -
