u should have 3 meals a day so dont change that .. if u get hungry u will find it harder to stick to whatever diet u try

no doubt i will get yelled at for this but i would recommend u give low carbing a look.. i have lost over 7 stone and have maintained that for well over a year now....i enjoyed the food and its the first time i have ever felt in control of my weight

whatever u decide using a gym and treadmill will help a great deal

    good luck xx

this might not have anything to do with it.

I have never had a problem with my weight all my life and able to eat anything i like etc.

But say over the last 8 months i have started to drunk alot of irn bru 2litre bottle a day. not sure if there is anything within that would make me put on weight.

    Welcome Nutty2 and Lindsey,:hello:

Well done on the 2lbs off Julie_D 2lbs off is fantastic given the week that you seem to have had :T

Today has been a good/bad/ugly day for me today.

Good because I've stayed within my points, :j

bad because a flare up of IBS)_pale_ meant that I couldn't stay at the christening beyond the actual ceremony (and I was really looking forward to it too)

and ugly because I ate so little this morning expecting to have to account for a dinner out I ended up starving and ordered chinese takeaway at 7pm cos the only thing I'd had to eat since breakfast was an apple:eek:

It's not as big a disaster as all that really, as I said, I've stayed within my points, I just would have prefered to eat more vegetables etc. today.

Oh well. I'm sure it'll all turn up alright on the scales on monday..... typical by the way, I'm starting back to work on monday... and monday and tuesday of next week are supposed to be glorious here:mad:
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.

Hi Dellybelly - sorry to hear about your day, the IBS must be a nightmare :(

Good luck with your return to work on Monday, I don't envy you, it takes me all my time to get myself ready to go to work, I don't know how working mums manage with getting babies sorted out as well!

    Hi all

Well successfully negotiated a day at my parents in law by us taking lunch for everyone (yippeeee) so feeling good about that. I am so determined to loose a stone for my holidays its really making me quite angelic at the moment, until I start baking :rotfl: But I was good today and had only 3 syns all day so that is fine. Shall try the same again tomorrow. I haven't missed having my sins as i have been eating fresh pineapple, straberries and melon instead (mmmm I love the summer).

Nutty 2 and Inspiration21 welcome to the thread. I am sure you will get lots of support, infomation, advice and motivation when you need it.

Julie D - well done on your 2lb loss.

Lois Lane - Maybe the scales will synchronize next week but as long as you do whatever feels good to you thats the main thing.

Delly Belly - sorry to hear about the IBS. These things always happen when we are looking forward to something don't they?? Well done for staying within your points though and don't worry about your fruit and veg intake there is always tomorrow. By the way incase I don't get online tomorrow good luck for your return to work on Monday :T

It might do!!! Consider that a can of fizzy drink has up to 12 teaspoons of sugar in it and then multiply that by at least 4 to account for your 2 litres. Fizzy drinks are laden with empty calories - sugar - which will sit on you as fat just as much as a large fish and chips!! Swop your sugary fizz for water and see what happens!!

I need to lose about 2 stone, but no idea where to start. Just feeling down on myself because of it (I need to change a few more things too, but a bit at a time huh)

Problem is, I also have a stomach problem, so some foods are out anyway (probably all considered to be bad ones) I just can't stick to anything.

I'm off to get an apple now :( They are alright, but........not filling!
