Hi guys..long time no post. :j
Life has been hectic recently, and i have barely been on here to read threads let alone post. Thanks for keeping me in the 2lb club.
I joined a SW class 15th May this year after starting to gain the 11lb i lost.
I have stuck with it this time, and although i have bad days like everyone, i feel so much more positive about it all this time.
Have even been saving money taking lunches to work with me - so an added bonus!!!! :D
Since joining SW i have now lost 15.5lb, and weigh in again tomorrow - although i have been naughty this weekend drinking lots of alcohol so it might not be good news. But i am back to trying to be good today.
Just wanted to say hello to everyone, and chin up through the tough times.

Hi Lydia, Good to hear from you again and well done - that is a fantastic loss :T
Hi to all the new peeps who have joined in and good luck.

Julie d - have you tried canderel - its free on SW, I have it on my porridge and cant tell the difference

I'm suffering big style today - was at a birthday party last night, only had a bottle of wine but I am as sick as a dog today  Serves me right I know but I honestly didnt have that much to drink so cant understand it. Yesterday was funny day eating wise so maybe that was it  Anyhow, I've just managed a slice of toast, thats the first of the day so fingers crossed it stays there!! OH is at work and my mum has very kindly taken the kids for a while so I'm heading back to bed. What a waste of a day

Chat later. If I dont get back on later Good Luck tomorrow Delly ;)

this might not have anything to do with it.

I have never had a problem with my weight all my life and able to eat anything i like etc.

But say over the last 8 months i have started to drunk alot of irn bru 2litre bottle a day. not sure if there is anything within that would make me put on weight.
Definately does. If your intake of calories is higher than the amount you burn then you will put on weight and soft drinks are notoriously full of calories and other nasties. You would be doing yourself a big favour by giving it up, physically and mentally. Your teeth are at risk with fizzy drinks due to the carbonated water and sugar not to mention other artificial nasties that lurk within them.

I would stick to your 3 meals a day and just do some regular exercise, even just 30 mins a day on the treadmill (walking) will help. Start off slo and you will be suprised how much your energy increses after each time.
Wildly my mind beats against you, yet the soul obeys. :heartpuls

    Hi one and all,
Now the sun has gone in and the thunder has replaced it, thought I'd have a read of the weekend messages!
I use Splenda instead of sugar on my cereal and stuff, and use hermesetas in my coffee, whenever anyone comes I don't have sugar in so they get hermesetas too, and never notice (ha - either that or they think I make really bad coffee!!). :rotfl:
I have decided to try to stick to 10 syns a day instead of the 15 I was having, as I am not getting to the gym as much and my weight loss has been slow for the last few weeks.
I go on holiday soon, only 2 weigh-ins left (going to an earlier class to get weighed the day before I go for motivation and then we have our class the week after, on the day I get home ............. nothing like having no remedy time!!) I am hoping it will keep me off the pastries when I go away.
Anyway, kids are running riot so I had better go and make them some tea, hope everyone has a good week.
Love the daily thoughts - keep them up!!:T

Misguided maybe, but never really bad!! :A

HI everyone - Can I join you?

I've been lurking for a while and its good to see a nice thread, with some excellent people posting to keep everyone else motivated and on-track. Some of you may recognise me from other areas of the board. I can't promise to post everyday but I will do my best to help others with their questions and queries as and when I can.

I have rejoined SW 10 days ago having done this successfully before and losing 5.5 stone - have put 4 stone back on now though :o so I need to do something before I end up back where I started & miserable and depressed to boot.

I stuck to it and completed food diary for the first week and at WI I had only lost 0.5lb  However, I didnt let it get me down and I've been food optimising 100% this week. Writing it all down as and when I eat.

Now, I know I shouldnt but I got on my scales this morning and I'm still not losing. I'm drinking plenty (almost 6 litres yesterday) and eating all the right things and it just doesnt seem to be working this time around.

Has anyone else had this same problem or just me? I'm diabetic on tablets the same ones as I was previously when I did SW and they didnt affect my weight loss then. I seem to be retaining water and its not 'that time of the month'. Does the hot weather affect anyone else in as far as retaining water is concerned?

Sorry for the long first post. I'm fed up today and can't think where I'm going wrong at all and I desperately want to lose this weight again.

Hi bedshaped, of course you can join us. Cheer up 1/2lb is better than nothing although I do see what you're saying. Your second weigh in will hopefully show a better loss.
I have also heard that 2nd time around is harder and I certainly found that.
Also "star" week is harder, could that be it?
Keep going and it WILL be worh it in the end.
When you get to target though, my advice, keep going to class, it's free so why stop going? It helps to remind you that you can't go back to your old habits
Good Luck for the coming week
    I haven't got one!

Hi Bedshaped and welcome. It's really good that you're writing everything down as & when you eat, but are you weighing your HEs and syns accurately?
Your fluid intake is great - is it mostly water? The more water you drink the less you should retain fluid, BUT it can take a while for your body to recognize the fact that water is not in short supply. Also I do find, myself, that the hot weather makes me swell, specially round the ankles, and of course, it does show on the scales.
Stick with it 100% and it WILL come off, whether it's the first time on SW or the twenty first - I promise.
Fantastic result first time around by the way - you'll do it again I'm positive
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

    Hi all

Horrendous day today with it being the first day of my star week and having a two year old behaving like the toddler from hell  (poor thing I think its the start of his last 4 teeth coming through). So needless to say a few sweet things have passed my lips more than the should have done, but hopefully as I was extra good yesterday it won't show up too much on the scales on Tuesday.

Welcome to Miroslav, Dazzieboo and bedshaped. I am sure you will find all the help, advice and support you need on this thread.

Lydia.42 congratulations on losing 15.5 lb that is really good. Hope to hear how you are getting on.

Well hoping tomorrow is better than today - good luck with weighins for those that have them and speak to you all later
