    Well done Debras Angel!

I have a question. Does anybody know how many syns is Bisto's cheese sauce (the one that comes in granules)?
A whole lot and the neighbours I guess, but more specifically...?

If its Bisto so Saucy Granules its 4 syns, dried per 100ml - made as directed

Thanks consultant for the curry sauce recipe, will try that later in the week.
I'm off now for that grapefruit - I bought 3 so may as well make a start on them
Have a good day folks, nice and sunny here and I am off to DS sports day in a little while. Enjoy the sunshine!

Hooray, only put on 1.5lbs in 2 weeks so I'm still within my target. How chuffed was I?
    I haven't got one!
  • Wow Thanks for the recipie.. i tried one last night and me and my other half tucked in.. was absolutely fabulous!! Bonus was he didnt even realise it was good for you!

With the PCOS thing most gynae tell u to lose weight but the condition seems to pile it on :/ vicious circle in all honesty, u lose 5lb and put 7lb on!

Got a hospital appointment on the 19th so hopefully they can give me medication as ive been coping without for 5 years.

Found a fantastic recipie for bombay style potato which i find goes really well with bar-b-q's which sort of satifies my craving for spicy food and is almost syn free! I have it in place of potato salad.

    Ingredients :

    Potatoes ( 4 large )
    Garam Masala
    Cumin
    Tumeric
    Corriander
    1 onion
    Natural low fat yoghurt

    Method:

Peel and cut potatoes into cubes 1inch by 1inch and boil them in lightly salted water (add 2tsp of tumeric to the water to turn it orange) until they start to go fluffy.

Chop your onion into strings ( like you would if you were making onion rings )

Add a TINY bit of oil into a hot frying pan and put in 4 tsp of Garam Masala, 1tsp of Tumeric, 2tsp of corriander and 1 tsp of Cumin fry the spices off until you smell the aroma then chuck in the onions and lightly fry.
( onions should be soft but still have a little bit of bite)

Then add the potatoes that you drained off earlier and just gently stir them..(bits will break off and it will go a little mushy but thats a good thing! Try not to break up the lumps of potato)

After the potato is coated in spices leave to cool for 10 minutes and grab a well deserved glass of water! (has to be cool or it will curdle the yoghurt)

When you return you should add 2tblspoons of the yoghurt and gently stir.. then turn on the heat until it is warmed through.

!!!!!Do not bring to a simmer or you will curdle the yoghurt!!!!!

Put in a bowl and serve with salad and bbq'd meats.

This recipie produces a large cereal bowl serving.

    Well done Ems.

So much better than 1lb on.

I don't know about you guys but I find summer the hardest time to diet as you tend to have more going on with outings and with the heat I tend to drink more. In the winter you can also eat all those hearty meals as well and feel full quicker. I'm just not a salad and fruit type person but I'm trying to add them into the diet a bit more!

Well done on everybody's losses! Not feeling as inspired today, probably cos I am really tired as I stayed up to watch Lost on E4 last night :o .

Forgot to ask last night, what are 'Mug Shots' and where can I find them in the supermarket? I was looking in Sainsbury's this morning but couldn't see them?

Breakfast: Meusli (B choice), Banana & tea
Lunch: Bread Roll (B Choice), Cheese (2 A choices) & Spread (5.5 syns)
Tea: Jacket Potato and a Pasta in Sauce (made with water)
    Snacks: Cherries again!
Exercise: None again tonight as I didn't manage to conquer Mount Ironing last night - may just have made it to Base Camp!
Something nice for me: Going to use an Andrew Collinge Blonde highlight enhancing conditioning treatment on my hair tonight which I bought from Sainsbury's this morning for 24p!

Not a very exciting meal plan for today but when I'm tired I am so unimaginative! Oh well, there's always tomorrow.......
