Wouldn't mind hearing about your experience with Foster's, rjh090384 - all being well we'll be making the same move in late May (touch wood, salt over the shoulder etc)

Any chance you could post here again, post-move? Cheers.

I'm going to be moving from Belfast to Antrim at some point over the next few months. This is the first time I'll have furniture etc to move so I was considering a removal firm.

I take it it's up to me to box everything, dismantle stuff like beds that need to be taken down to get out of a door.

Thought it worth posting our own experience here after moving last week.

Due to some crossed wires we couldn't use Foster's as recommended by Chrissy Boy and others, so we opted for Andersons, as recommended by NAR.

At 3 days' notice (albeit we moved on a Thursday, probably not as busy as the Fridays) Anderson's were absolutely spot on. Prompt, courteous and quick. The £68 + VAT per hour was okay because we didn't have too much stuff, so the total came in at £100 less than Foster's had quoted.

Having used a company last year whose name rather aptly rhymes with "clowns", I would certainly give Andersons a vote over them.

Glad you got good service Mr.R; I would not have been happy to make a recommendation on here that turned out to be bad advice. My experience of using them had been very good too, which is why I had suggested them.
