I had to order the pen online, I cant get to hobbycraft till at least Sunday. I got the one that washes out with water, I couldn't be bothered remarking things every time.

As for the foot stool...good that you have somewhere handy for all your stuff. Can I just say though...I would have commandeered that AGES ago....:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I know what you mean. As soon as I thought of it I was like 'DOH!! Why didn't I think of that sooner?!?!'

I have just spent a good hour or more on e-bay and I am now watching half a dozen kits :o
    Bargain prices, naturally.

Galatea is gorgeous. She'd look a treat on my bathroom wall :D

*Louise*, she looks amazing! Well done! Where are you planning on hanging her, once she's framed? Assuming you are framing her, that is.

I've working working on my Dictionary of Bras for the past couple of days. It's coming along well. I'll post a picture a bit later.

*Louise* that is amazing. Where did you get the chart from?

Shelly - I've had to step away from ebay as there are too many tempations and my stack of UFO's isn't getting smaller!

Has anyone ordered a DMC chart from China? I'm tempted but I've heard that osme of them are fake.

I have no idea yet.:o I will get it framed, just to protect the picture. There is a bit about the legend of that mermaid on the chart, I am going to print that and put it on the back of the frame.

Look forward to seeing your update....:j

I have never ordered a chart from China, so couldn't comment on their authenticity. Are they a lot cheaper than usual?

It doesn't look much different for 2 days solid stitching, but I did do some, I promise! Mostly just to the right of the middle. The red coloured tree.

This is coming along well. I stitched all day and evening yesterday and got all of Abracadabra done! Not doing the french knots until it's washed, though. Or I may replace them with beads...;)

How do I admit to this - I think I ahve just found a whole Drawer full of UFOs and I mean a drawer jammed pack full. In my defence they are my great aunts kits which I will finish for her, (and some of them she has started and they are equisite if I can be as half as good I will be so happy - will post a piccy when I start the first one of some of her work), they include table cloths pillow cases, samplers the lot - an awful lot of (1930/40s) linen to embroider and numerous iron on patterns.

Hopefully my mum and i will catalogue the lot, just got to find the old embroidery book to learn some of the really complex stitches. I think progress photos may be the way forward when i start (secretly very excited but got to do the table cloth for my nan first)

Reasonablly moneysaving though as stops me buying anymore though (and I had just seen the charts for the John Clayton panels on ebay) I think I will need to get all the threads, a new storage system and a desk light)
