Vote in Nationwide's AGM 2009

Nationwide Suck. I left them ages ago.0

I've just voted NO to everything as well. I resent the fact that they took over a few of the other societies - no help from the Government for them like RBS - and are acting like a plc bank.
Having looked at the fat cats report I'll be bailing out when by bond matures.
What in the hell do they think they are doing as a mutual in sponsoring the England Football Team? Did they ever consult the members? They paid 20 million! No doubt that would have got a few free tickets for the directors, wives and mates courtesy of all the savers deposits.
VOTE NO TO The Fat Cats0 -
An excellent article here from Jeff Prestridge.
Damn! I wished I lived near London.

Just voted no to all except item 4.
The online voting form is clearly biased towards them getting a yes vote, it would never be allowed in a General Election.
It just proves how much they try to take members for granted.0 -
I've been a member of Nationwide for nearly 15 years and my parents before that were members for well over 25 years, so we have a long history with them.
I haven't voted for the board for as long as I can remember and I STRONGLY urge other members not to vote for them either.
Their voting procedure and ballot papers make Robert Mugabe look positively democratic!
From what I can see, They put their people on the board, and then sometime later get the members to rubber stamp it through a rigged ballot form. Notice the "Quick option" (mugs option) at the top.
How about it being mandatory that they have to have some real members on the board.
It used to be the best mutual Building Society around with extremely competitive rates and excellent service, but not any more. The only thing mutual about it these days, is the way the directors mutually agree to pay themselves telephone number salaries every year.
It's time people woke up, don't let them get away with it, it's our society, not theirs. Vote against all their recommendations!
