    :hello: I'm a June 2010 bride!

    My preferred date was 26th June but we're saving by going on a Friday (18th) but still to be signed for!

    * We've chosen the reception venue
    * We're awaiting to see if we can get married in church - should recieve form for Reverend tomorrow to see if he'll approve re OH's divorce :(
    * Chosen colour scheme (gold & white/cream)
    * Chosen 1 bridesmaid & 1 pageboy so far.
    * Decided a honeymoon to Australia but haven't looked into it yet.
    * Mother of Bride refusing to allow 'save the date' cards to go out :mad:

    End of March 2010 (well it's sort of summer!!!) - not the best choice for wedding date but oh's dad works away at sea so we're limited to blocks he'll be in the country for.

    Booked and paid for venue (just registry office),
    Booked reception venue, mother's on the case for caterers and has the village !!!!! (community association) briefed on colour scheme to decorate the hall,
    Guest list organized, in spreadsheet (waiting on OH to get a couple of his side's addresses),
    Best man lined up
    Believe mother's on the hunt for a vintage car for us to go to and from ceremony in
    Hotel's booked to stay near the venue for a few days (parents paying)
    Photos are being done by lil bro as his wedding present - he's got a lot of high-end digi camera kit and is actually a very talented little photojournalist (would never say this to his face) so they should be good, his girlfriend's making the cake - have requested chocolate not fruit as there's always something in fruit cake that people dislike... trying to persuade her a cake topper with us and the three-legged cat would be cool but don't know if that'll work!
    Invites are made, written and going out this week (soon as oh gets back from tracking me down a printer cartridge since mine's ran out halfway through doing the info sheets with directions, taxi numbers, local hotels on)
    Still no idea about what I'm wearing (hard to find something as a size 26), no idea with rings (struggling to find something reasonably priced to fit around my engagement ring, not sure if we're having favours or anything (I quite fancy the idea of retro sweetie 10p mixup type things to be honest - but more than 10p these days... mutter mutter... inflation... 60p for a Wispa... used to be 10p bought you enough sweets to get cavities for life in my day... SUGARED ALMONDS ARE BANNED).

    I've delegated most of this to my mother who's having fun having a pet "project" to work on. I've basically done the invites (designed, printed and hand-embossed the interiors for pre-bought exteriors my mother picked up for £3 for 10) and that's that.

    OH is still adamant he wants to play Road to Hell at the ceremony... NOT... GOING... TO... HAPPEN. He's a soppy nowt who loves the Lion King so I'm kind of tempted to have Can you feel the love tonight from that to be honest - but haven't broached that chat with him for a long while.
    Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!

    Hello - was wondering if this thread would get dug up

    I'm getting married on 17th June 2010

    So far I have (ain't no "we" about it lol)
    Booked venue and paid deposit
    Given Notice with registrar
    Guest list pretty finalised (10 adults and 4 kids over what we have paid for)
    Decided on bridal Party
    Booked and paid deposit on Photographer
    Made about 1/2 of the day invites
    sent about half the save the day cards out
    decided on my dress (to be ordered in jan from landy)
    decided on colour scheme
    bought 2 pairs of shoes, ceremony and disco
    decided on favours - making cookies and heart sweets in boxes
    bought flowers - need to make bouquets etc
    bought fimo for cake toppers
    decided and trialled wedding cake recipe
    decided on grooms suit/ waistcoat
    Set dates! for hen do(s)
    decided on rings

    So i have done quite a bit - mainly decisions made but as I am diy-ing pretty much everything I am slowly getting everything underway

    I'll also be expecting to be reapplying for my job any time soon so that we put me out of action for a month or so
    Had a thrifty wedding 17-06-10:love:
    expecting triplets in Jul/ Aug 2012 :eek::eek::eek::grinheart:grinheart:grinheart
