I keep getting told the tradition is the bride pays nothing and the hens pay??
My bridesmaids have said theyll happily sort a whip around for our night out so i dont pay for food / drinks, but if I think (I dont by the way) that their paying for our weekend away I can take a running jump (I love how honest they are, lol).Green and White Barmy Army!0 -
I've only been to a few but it's always been that hens pay their way as does the bride. As far as I know anyway, it could have been that the bridesmaids were paying for the bride and it just wasn't mentioned.
I'm going to Barcelona for mine so I'll be paying my way and no one elses - everyone's having to travel 200 miles for my wedding as it is so I won't be expecting them to pay for my hen as wellx

I'm not going to make my own invites, I cant come up with any ideas and i've found some ones i like from ebay, they arent handmade but the are simple, ivory and silver (which is what colour scheme I want)
I have gone through my guest list and most of my guests are familys so for the actually wedding i need about 10 invtes and the evening i'll need about 20.0 -

Hi guys
My wedding is the 2nd June in Gibraltar.
So far we have booked our flights,
booked close families flights,
sorted accomodation in Spain,
I have bought my gorgeous lovely dress,
chosen my 5(!) bridesmaids,
chosen BM dreses (hopefully ordering those in a couple of weeks),
sorted venue for reception in Spain,
found my tiara and veil (my tiara is way more than I wanted to pay but I fell in love with it)
my 2 eldest BM's have found their tiaras (more like headbands - very pretty)
found 3 lovely tiaras in Claires for the 3 youngest ones (bargain at £10 each)
boughts a few decorations and the candles for the tables.
booked the photographer in Gib,
and then yesterday we found the venue for the do when we get back home, its lovely and all booked for 12th June.
I think thats it.
Im soooo excited and I know its going to be here in a flash.
We're flying over to Gib in 3.5 weeks to try and sort florists and stuff.

Don't Quit - this is probably irrelevant to you but it's the League Two playoff final that day. I've got a list of important football dates to make sure nothing clashes, and still managed to have the Manchester derby on my wedding day...! x0

i feel so lucky that my other half couldnt care less about football lol
the only things I have to make sure we dont clash with is vw showsMarried on 5th March 2010still lurking on the wedding board tho :rotfl:0
