    Aw bless, so cute :)

well slowly getting back into moneysaving again, in a couple of weeks kids will be back at school and things will be back to normal.

Next week kids are away with there dad and I am planning on decorating DS's room for when he gets back as a surprise. Going to try and blag some things off freecycle including a single bed haha. If not there are a couple of frames on ebay I am watching.

Did an NV survey for £3 so am at £27
Ebay is doing ok and I am at about £30 clear profit but I keep spending it on bits and bobs :(

Kids did table tennis this morning which should have cost £20 for today and tomorrow but there had been some contradictory posters printed and I had one which said £3 a session which would be £12 for the two of them over 2 days and they said they would honour it so that saved me £8 as I would have paid it. They absolutely loved it.
they had Judo tonight as well which they have been doing for a few weeks now and they really enjoyed themselves tonight and getting to grips with what they need to do.

Guineas are making me look like I am really healthy with all the veg I have been buying them. dread to think what my grocery spend is this month, I have sort of lost track and as for NSD, I dont think I have had more than a couple of those this month!!

did one measly review on dooyoo. There is one person on there who winds me up when I do a toy review who 9/10 rates it just useful. I dont know what else to add to the review I just did to make it any better! I am really just not in the mood for dooyoo anymore but am at 43k so am quite close to the chq :(

Hi Pammy, sounds like you have been busy, I don't think that you are the only one who gets out of the swing of it a bit when the kids are off, I have hardly done any surveys. Sometimes I think a little rest from it can do you good I know i'm going to get stuck in again when they are all back at school.
Hope you are having a good summer, love the guinea pigs, but they are tiny surely they can't eat that much!

Well they have to have a balanced diet so they cant have the same thing every day so I have to have a variety of fresh veg. I dont cook a lot of veg myself but maybe I should. These pigs could make us more healthy!!

  • I haven't been having many rates that are 'useful'. Weird isn't it. I'm trying to get back in the swing again after a few days away. I've got to about £31 now.

The piggies seem to have settled in well. Funny you don't buy loads of veg. I would rather have veg than fruit. I notice more when the in-laws are here, as they are more 'fruit' people so i end up buying more of that.

I remember taking in bags of peelings from our Sunday dinner to school for our class guinea pig when i was a nipper. Carrot tops and broccoli stems and the like. Do you have a neighbour you could ask to save some for you?

We are fruit people here haha Fruit bowl is always full. (or being filled) although the kids like the fine bean sticks that I have never bought before.

I'd sound like begging if I asked for any spare veg lol

The useful is from the toys and games guide. You have to be a proper pro to get a VU from her.

I meant the peelings, not the actual fruit and veg. Maybe it is just me and my neighbours who are a bit mad like that. I keep all mine to put in the compost bin, but if i knew someone who had piggies it makes more sense to give them to them IYSWIM.

We pass stuff back and forth all the time. Here, bought this and didn't like it. We have this leftover from the grandkids and thought your kids might like it. That sort of thing. As well as fruit and veg seeds and young plants. My nextdoor neighbour actually said to me - you know the plant in your front garden that is half dead, can i have it and try and save it. :rotfl:Well i couldn't really say no to that. I wish she would say the same about the cat with the matted fur i don't get chance to sort out. :rotfl:

My neighbour grows her own veg actually, I might ask what she does with the carrot tops.
