Thanks
This month is not going to be a good one, the £200 is all I will be able to do as I have just realised that I need to redo my level 1 bookkeeping as it is only valid for 2 years and I did it in dec 07so have to pay £45 student membership and then £25 for the exam again. ripoff!!
Plus just bought a load of cds to make use of the extra tesco points. I need to nip that in the bud but getting it out of my system as I havent done points for such a long time!MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

Have u decided if ur going to do aat? It's hard work but definatly worth it.Mortgage @ 01.06.10 £165,999Mortgage @ 31.10.13 £14,6640 -

ideal schools who I did my studying with have come back and told me that I have to pay £49 to carry on with their assistance
I then have to pay £45 to become a student member of ICB before I can do level 1 exam AGAIN costing £25 and then do level 2 exam £25
Total so far then would be £144
I also have my car tax this month and I am already low on my bills account. I may have to dip into my savings which is not very good mentally for me, its like a step backMPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

Don't look as it as a step back. It's a step forward, think of whar a good example your setting your kids by working hard for your career. Look at the money your spending as an investment in your future. I don't know your complete situation but I imagine you will earn more when u finish your studying.
I didn't do AAT did ACCA but met alot of people in college who had doneit first. It's hard work but once u have done it they can't take it away
Don't let this get you down. Your doing so well with your overpayments. As I've heard others say on here it's a marathon not a sprintand a couple of lower overpayments because your studying may benefit u in the long run.Mortgage @ 01.06.10 £165,999Mortgage @ 31.10.13 £14,6640 -
Thank you Baby steps. I guess you are right (well I know you are right) I am seeing it that I am going to give myself 2 years to study and whilst I am looking at the jobs available and dreaming one day that could be me it gives me more motivation to carry on although a lonely jounrney it should be worth it. I am looking for possibly when the youngest is 12 in 5 years I could possibly go full time as part time work is so hard to find or at least do other than just school hours.
I am setting myself to do at least 5 hours study a week and although I was a bit tired tonight I have done 1.5 hours and some of it is sinking in I am off on Friday so will try and get a couple of hours done then as well. Found a great site that has templates of T accounts and invoices etc.
Most people are telling me to go down the AAT route so I am going to do level I,II manual and 3 computerised and then look further on to AAT. I did see one course where you had to have these anyway and then that you had a business or accountant that could sponsor you but I havent looked that far in detail as yet. It might take me a while to get past level II !!
Right I am ready to crash and hope I have a better sleep than last night, I must have woke up at least 8/9 times and sometimes with a weird jolt which scared me slightly!MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987
