I did have a go and try and work it out but the figures are just mumbling to me so have no clue lol

Need to make a note to ring Halifax sometime this week and change my term :j

Its my sons birthday on Saturday and so the party and gifts are a big expense this week/month.

I have applied for a couple of jobs, one closer to home and another which is in the next town but term time (I would so love to do the latter :grinheart) It would save me £45 in childcare BUT having thought that my benefits would go down as they pay a bit towards it. So have to outweight what is best. I think its only 70% so £31ish So in reality it would only save me £15 a month. I would have the time off with the kids though which would be excellent :D I would have to see how far the journey is as well. All this thinking and i probably wont even get an interview! :o

Have reduced my mortgage today  i cant believe how good it feels to only have 12 years left so goodness knows how i will feel when its even lower than that lol.
my payments are £696 and i could probably OP another £100 on top of that which if i kept doing that would knock another year off but trying not to get ahead of myself.

oh the job needing experience is definitely a no go as they do need experienced workers so will hopefully wait to hear about the other one.

paid another £200 off my mortgage today shaving another month off my end date :D (figures in my sig)

Got a £50 dooyoo cheque last week and ex owed me £50 and will get that tomorrow.

Have applied for another job yesterday but am worried about the kids holidays and our holiday in July. this will go against me as I need a week off in easter, then July and then two weeks in August. My current job is fine with that as its our slow time (plumbing & heating company) Oh I wish I could move them closer to home!!!

Interview went ok, might be a bit tricky with holiday cover and them wanting me to do longer hours for them weeks. i worked out though that i would be better off about £80 a month without the travel so could afford the extra childcare hopefully. Will hear by friday if i have a 2nd interview. Would really like to work there but feel guilty about my current job.

on the budget front i have done fab on food, only spending £110ish
petrol, I've saved £25 as i didnt go visit family cos of the snow!
dooyoo is fab and i had a £50 cheque and am now waiting on another being sent.
paypal, sold a few items and redeemed a £10 free scratchie.
no comp wins this month as i have done hardly any, been concentrating on dooyoo.

My mortgage total once march's norm payment comes out will be below £81k now :j, each little step as they say :)

keep your fingers crossed for me :)
