well didn't hear about the job so taking that as a no no, but never mind. I'll crack on with the search.
On looking at queenbees MF diary I have nicked the idea of doing these figures so here goes (have added march as have done OPs for march too):
Actual payments: Jan, £1,127; Feb, £1,127 March, £1,046 (Total = £3300)
Original scheduled payments: Jan, £594; Feb, £594 March £594(Total = £1,782)
Payments over/above original schedule: Jan, £533; Feb, £533, March £452 (Total= £,1518)
Interest per day: Jan, £13.41; Feb, £13.29, March (rate went to SVR) £7.83
Mortgage balance: Jan, £82,377: Feb, £81,648: March, £80,965
% of mortgage now paid off: Jan, 8.5% ; Feb 9.28%; March 10.04%
% of house now owned outright: Jan, 31.35%; Feb 31.96%; March 32.53%
On seeing how little percentage of the mortgage is actually paid off is such a shocker when you look at it that wayMPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

Hi Pammy - you're welcomeI agree it's quite an eye-opener to see the % of one's mortgage one's actually paid off. If I'd analysed my mortgage like that in its early years, I'd have started my MF journey a lot earlier. Still, live and learn... :rotfl: The reason I'm able to make big overpayments at present is cos I'm gradually transferring savings to the mortgage and being ultra, ultra-frugal. Anyway, you're doing well: 1.5% paid off in just two months is no mean feat in these times!

thanks QB, I am living as frugally as I can lol
Just worked out my bank balance and can OP another £200 once some money owed comes in and I get my dooyoo cheque.
(I had not budgeted for my child benefit - always forget that, which is a good thing)

Figures as they stand today 1st March
Actual payments: Jan, £1,127; Feb, £1,127 March, £1,196 (Total = £3450)
Original scheduled payments: Jan, £594; Feb, £594 March £594(Total = £1,782)
Payments over/above original schedule: Jan, £533; Feb, £533, March £602 (Total= £,1668)
Interest per day: Jan, £13.41; Feb, £13.29, March (rate went to SVR) £7.83
Mortgage balance: Jan, £82,377: Feb, £81,648: March, £80,815
% of mortgage now paid off: Jan, 8.5% ; Feb 9.28%; March 10.21%
% of house now owned outright: Jan, 31.35%; Feb 31.96%; March 32.64%
Paid another £150 today as I am going to use my dooyoo cheque (when it gets here) to pay for a silverstone racing experience for my lads 16th birthday
so updated the above figures. The mortgage amount will probably be slightly less as I have not included the interest I have saved paying things earlier than the beginning of the month, probably about £5-£10 I would imagine. I won't know proper figure for a few days until they update my account online.MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

Right made another BIG decision today and have just typed up a notice to my childminder that I no longer require her services. Feel really guilty as she has looked after the children for about four years now BUT she was more out of convenience as she had no get up about her and I felt like she was just going through the motions to earn a living as only she could being at home. She never really did anything with the kids and her son was a total brat to my two. I dont know why I didnt do it sooner but I suppose that is the guilt thing again.
Went into a place today that does holiday clubs etc and asked about their schemes and it seems ok AND a £1 cheaper an hour for the two of them plus they will have lots more children to play with and more things to do. I am justifying myself here when I really dont need to but its a big change for me as it is not having confirmation of childcare that I am uneasy about. With the childminder I knew when the kids were there and sorted out between, work, dad and her. With the holiday club you have to make sure you have a place booked (which I will have to remember each time)
I hope once again that I have done the right thing. My son and I went to look today and he was right off playing with one of the other kids and his face was beaming saying he would definitely like to go there instead of childminders so I think it will be ok.
It would either save me money OR give me more days of care so I dont have to earn lieu days to have off later (only get 20 days holiday)MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

I'm sure you're doing the right thing Pammy, but change involving kids is always scary!A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
Mortgage Balance = £0

OMG handed letter to childminder this morning (well tried to post it and she answered the door!!)
She told me her fella left her last week, in lots of debt and she is behind in the mortgage. How bad do I feel???MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987
